Abstract

Tourism has become an economic sector that contributes to the country. Labuan Bajo is currently one of the primadonna of new tourism in Indonesia where the main focus of consumers is foreign tourists. With the development of tourism like that, tourism seems to provide small benefit to the local community. Therefore, the current focus is how to build a relationship between tourism and local industry. This study analyzes the proportion of purchasing hotel products from MSMEs and also the economic opportunities available to MSMEs in the hotel industry in Labuan Bajo. The data is obtained from a survey conducted at 12 hotels to find out what opportunities have the most potential to be able to form cooperation between MSMEs and the hotel sector. From the analysis, it was found that the most potential cooperation is in the field of waste transportation, food supply, souvenirs as well as services related to maintenance and repair. This can have implications for the role of tourism to the growth of the local industry followed by an increase in the economy in the local community.

Abstract

The Golo Mori Sunset Run was evaluated for its economic, socio-cultural, and environmental impacts. The event generated a strong economic multiplier effect, with each unit of investment producing more than twice the level of local economic activity, primarily driven by participant spending, local MSME engagement, and volunteer compensation, while indirect and induced effects further circulated benefits within the community. Socio-culturally, the event promoted healthy lifestyles, strengthened social interactions, and highlighted local culture through participation by sports communities and Manggarai cultural performances, although volunteer gender distribution revealed both traditional role segmentation and areas of inclusivity. Environmentally, initiatives such as a ban on single-use plastics and the provision of refill stations were positively received, yet gaps in waste management, including limited trash bins and reliance on internal cleaning teams, were noted. Overall, the Golo Mori Sunset Run demonstrates how a sports event can simultaneously stimulate local economic growth, foster socio-cultural engagement, and encourage environmentally responsible practices, contributing to sustainable community development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan memahami pentingnya desain logo pada produk souvenir oleh-oleh makanan khas, dengan fokus pada aspek warna, jenis, dan penempatan logo. Studi dilakukan di toko souvenir di Labuan Bajo dengan pendekatan kualitatif melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemilihan warna yang sesuai dapat menciptakan hubungan visual yang kuat serta memberikan kesan profesional. Tren terkini juga memperlihatkan popularitas logo berbasis font, namun keseimbangan antara font, gambar, dan simbol tetap penting agar pesan tersampaikan secara efektif. Penempatan logo berperan penting dalam meningkatkan visibilitas dan daya tarik produk. Logo harus mudah dilihat dan disesuaikan dengan media penggunaannya. Validasi data dilakukan melalui triangulasi sumber, dan analisis mengikuti tahapan reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa desain logo yang tepat secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan daya tarik produk dan membangun identitas merek, khususnya bagi UMKM di Labuan Bajo.
