Congenital Citomegalovirus Infection (CMV) is one of the most common viral infections that causes congenital infections. CMV is transmitted by contact with an individual who carries CMV infection. Approximatelly 90% of congenitally infected infants develop symptoms at birth. Jaundice, petechiae, and hepatosplenomegaly are the three most common sequences in infants. Abstract

Chromolaena odorata referred to as Kirinyuh leaves, contains tannins, phenols, flavonoids, saponins, and steroids, which possess antibacterial properties against several pathogenic bacteria in humans, including Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Candida albicans. This investigation aimed to assess the moderate efficacy of the N-Hexan cream derived from Chromolaena odorata L. against Grade IIA burns in male Wistar rats. The research employed a laboratory experimental approach, encompassing the creation of an N-hexane extract from Chromolaena odorata L. and the formulation of various burn cream preparations of 20%, 25%, and 30% concentrations. Multiple tests are conducted: organoleptic assessment, homogeneity evaluation, and testing of pH, spreadability, adhesion, and burn. The research analysis employed a one-way ANOVA followed by the LSD test. The most effective dose for hastening burn wound healing is a 30% concentration of n-Hexan extract, resulting an average healing rate of 79%. The ANOVA test outcomes revealed a significant value of 0.000 (≤ 0.05) indicating a statistically significant difference in burn wound healing by day 21. The findings indicate that the N-Hexan extract from Chromolaena odorata L, exhibits a capacity to expedite the healing of burn wounds in male Wistar rats, as evidenced in both the 25% and the 30% concentration group.

Abstract

Wound is the breakdown of tissue units/components, where specifically there are damaged or missing tissue substances. Several articles have their own definition of injury, based on the damage caused. This includes damage to internal organs. Another article also mentions the degree of injury, not based on its shape but based on the consequences that can endanger the life of the victim.A stab wound is a wound with a depth that exceeds the length of the wound due to a sharp-edged or blunt-edged tool that occurs with a perpendicular or oblique pressure on the body surface. In this case report, a male corpse was identified. From the results of the examination, the victim suffered several injuries due to sharp violence on the right forehead, left lower jaw, left shoulder, left upper arm, and right chest base of the neck, which tore the carotid artery and penetrated the right lung. so that the right lung ruptures and the presence of blood fluid in the chest cavity is as much as 2000 cc. The victim's death was caused by a stab wound at the base of the neck that hit the carotid artery and penetrated the right lung, causing bleeding, which resulted in suffocation.

Abstract

Plasma Cell Leukemia (PCL) is a rare lymphoproliferative disorder characterized by the proliferation of malignant plasma cells in the bone marrow and their presence in the peripheral blood. PCL is classified into primary plasma cell leukemia (pPCL), which occurs de novo without a prior history of multiple myeloma, and secondary plasma cell leukemia (sPCL), which arises in association with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma. A 58-year-old woman presented with right hip pain that had been ongoing for four months. The pain progressively worsened, limiting her ability to move her leg and eventually causing significant difficulty in walking. She also experienced bilateral lower limb weakness and an unintentional weight loss of 10 kg over the same period. The patient denied any history of trauma. Physical examination revealed pallor without signs of bruising or spontaneous bleeding. Laboratory findings showed severe anemia (Hb 6.5 g/dL), leukocytosis (24,100/µL), thrombocytopenia, an elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rate, and 25% plasma cells on peripheral blood smear. Bone marrow aspiration demonstrated 40% infiltration by plasma cells. Based on the patient’s clinical presentation, physical examination, and laboratory findings, the diagnosis is consistent with primary Plasma Cell Leukemia.
