Abstract

Physical literacy, encompassing motivation, self-confidence, motor skills, and knowledge for lifelong active participation, remains low among Indonesian elementary school students: less than 40% meet competency standards, and more than 70% do not achieve 60 minutes of daily activity.In a randomized controlled trial in Jombang, East Java, 120 fourth–sixth grade students were divided into two groups. The intervention group participated in an eight-week Sports Education Model (SEM) (two 45-minute sessions per week) with role assignments, mini-tournaments, reflection, and discussion; the control group underwent a conventional curriculum. Physical literacy was measured using a validated instrument before and after the program.Results showed an average increase in the physical literacy score of the SEM group of 8.24 points (p<0.001). However, after adjusting for confounding variables, the difference between groups was not significant (F(1,116)=0.187; p=0.667). Retrospective bias occurred: post-test scores significantly predicted pre-test scores (η²=0.138; p<0.001), indicating that intervention experience influenced self-evaluations of initial abilities.SEM has been shown to potentially improve physical literacy, but its eight-week duration may not be sufficient for significant differences between groups. Future studies are recommended to extend the intervention to 12–16 weeks, include structured teacher training, and use a multicenter longitudinal design to strengthen evidence of effectiveness and ensure sustainability.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi kurikulum merdeka tahun 2024 pada Kurikulum PJOK di SD Negeri Banjardowo 1, kecamatan Kabuh, Kabupaten Jombang. Penelitian ini mengkaji perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan dampak dari penerapan Kurikulum merdeka dengan menggunakan pendekatan Deskriptif, Kualitatif dan studi kasus. Penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan wawancara untuk menjelaskan objek penelitian tanpa mempengaruhi keadaan dan secara apa adanya. Guru PJOK dan kepala sekolah menjadi subjek penelitian. Wawancara terbuka digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Analisis data dilakukan untuk mendapatkan temuan berupa berbagai kendala-kendala yang ditemui pada saat pelaksanaan rencana kurikulum merdeka, baik dari sekolah, guru, materi pendukung, serta partisipasi siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak banyak perubahan yang terjadi pada pembelajaran PJOK dibandingkan dengan program sebelumnya, dikarenakan keaktifan siswa merupakan hal terpenting dan pembelajaran berpusat pada siswa. Terdapat berbagai kendala dalam pelaksanaan program kurikulum merdeka dan evaluasi selalu dilakukan untuk mencapai hasil. Karena seperti yang kita ketahui bersama Kurikulum Merdeka merupakan revisi dari kurikulum sebelumnya, yang membedakan ialah proyek P5 yang berbeda pada setiap pembelajarannya sehingga membuat proses belajar mengajar lebih menarik dan bervariatif.

Abstract

This study determined the correlation between sedentary activities and interest in Physical Education learning in adolescents. Correlational analysis was utilized in this study, with a sample of 33 students obtained using an accidental sampling technique. The research instrument used an ASAQ questionnaire to acquire sedentary activity data and a learning interest questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability values of 0.801> 0.60. The results revealed that the sedentary activity of watching videos/DVDs was the highest, with an average duration of 95.09 minutes/day, and the sedentary activity of reading for pleasure was the lowest, with an average duration of 19.91 minutes/day. Meanwhile, the average interest in Physical Education learning is medium. The product-moment correlation test showed that the Pearson correlation value is -0.350, so it can be concluded that sedentary activities and interest in Physical Education learning have a significant negative correlation. The result stated that the highest sedentary activities had the lowest learning interest.
