Abstract

The Moringa plant (Moringa oleifera L.) is a plant that has many benefits and has long been used by various groups throughout the world. Almost all parts of this magical plant can be used for multiple purposes. Moringa plants spread and adapt to different environments, increasing phenotypic and phytochemical diversity. The research was conducted at three altitudes in Bali, lowlands, medium, and highlands from December 2023–May 2024. The study was conducted to determine differences in morphological characters and phytochemical content of Moringa plants. This research used UPGMA analysis to determine the relationship based on morphological characters, flavonoids, tannins, and vitamin E using a UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, while the antioxidant activity test was carried out using the DPPH method. The results of the identification of morphological characters showed differences in qualitative characters, which were seen in leaf color and flower color, while quantitative characters were seen in leaf length, leaf thickness, pod length, and number of seeds. Nine Moringa accessions showed differences in phytochemical content. The highest flavonoid and vitamin E content in the lowlands are (599.961 mg QE/100 g) and (599.961 mg QE/100 g), tannins in the medium plains (368.140 mg TAE/100 g), and the highest IC50 in the highlands (54.94 ppm).

Abstract

Anggur var. Kediri Kuning adalah varietas anggur unggulan yang dibudidayakan di Indonesia. Gibberellic Acid/GA3 merupakan salah satu ZPT yang menginduksi terjadinya partenokarpi, mempengaruhi perkembangan biji dalam buah. Rebung bambu merupakan bahan alami penghasil GA3 yang bisa dijadikan alternatif untuk meningkatkan kualitas buah anggur var. Kediri Kuning. Penelitian disusun menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok faktor tunggal yaitu aplikasi ekstrak rebung bambu yang terdiri dari beberapa konsentrasi yaitu : K0 = tanpa disemprot, K1 = konsentrasi 25%, K2 = konsentrasi 50%, K3 = konsentrasi 75%, K4 = konsentrasi 100%, K5 = GA3 sintetis 200 ppm (kontrol positif). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi/pemberian ekstrak rebung bambu berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap variabel morfologi buah anggur varietas Kediri Kuning. Terdapat kecenderungan pemberian konsentrasi ekstrak rebung bambu 50% mampu meningkatkan jumlah beri/tandan (43,66%), berat beri/tandan (35,54%), kandungan vitamin C (131,56%), kapasitas antioksidan (144,16%), serta mampu menurunkan jumlah biji/beri (20,24%), berat biji/beri (36,43%), total asam (68,89%) dibandingkan dengan control. Aplikasi ekstrak rebung bambu sebagai sumber GA3 pada stadia bunga mekar mampu meningkatkan kualitas anggur var. Kediri Kuning, walaupun belum bisa menciptakan anggur tanpa biji (seedless).

Abstract

Liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) is increasingly utilized as an organic-based agricultural input to support environmentally sustainable crop production. The presence of nutrients in soluble form enables LOF to enhance vegetative growth during the early stages of plant development. This study assessed the vegetative response of long bean (Vigna unguiculata subsp. sesquipedalis) to LOF application using plant height and leaf number as growth parameters. The experiment was conducted from October to November 2025 at an agrotechnology practicum field characterized by relatively uniform environmental conditions. A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was applied with three treatments, namely no LOF application, LOF at a rate of 20 mL per plant, and LOF at 40 mL per plant, each replicated three times. The collected data were analyzed using analysis of variance at a 5% significance level, followed by the Least Significant Difference test. The results revealed that different LOF application rates significantly affected vegetative growth of long bean plants. The application of LOF at 20 mL per plant resulted in the highest mean plant height (25.5 cm), which was significantly greater than that of the control (18.0 cm) and the 40 mL treatment (21.0 cm). A similar trend was observed for leaf number, where the 20 mL treatment consistently produced higher values than the other treatments. These findings indicate that LOF applied at a rate of 20 mL per plant is the most effective dosage for promoting early vegetative growth of long bean.
