Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Team Game Tournament (TGT) learning model based on traditional games to improve the locomotor movement skills of 4th-grade students at SDN Datengan 2. Locomotor movement is a fundamental motor skill involving body displacement, such as running, jumping, and hopping. Traditional games are used as a learning medium because they are culturally familiar to students and can enhance their motivation and engagement in the learning process. This research employs a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 4th-grade students at SDN Datengan 2. Data collection techniques included observation, tests, and documentation, which were then analyzed descriptively. The results show a significant improvement in students' locomotor movement skills from the pre-cycle to the second cycle. Additionally, students demonstrated high enthusiasm, good teamwork, and active participation during the learning process. The study concludes that the TGT model based on traditional games is effective in enhancing students' locomotor movement skills.
