Abstract

This training program aims to empower marginalized women through a self-identity approach to overcome social stigma and enhance their economic independence. The program involved 20 participants from the Mattiro Deceng Women's Social Service Center (PPSKW) in Makassar. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and pre- and post-tests, then analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method to assess changes in self-awareness, social interaction, and economic independence among participants. The six-month training was carried out in six phases: preparation, partner mapping, personal and group approach, mentoring through self-identity, entrepreneurship development, and evaluation. The results show that empowering marginalized women through a self-identity approach has a significant positive impact on various aspects of the participants' lives. Overall, the self-identity approach combined with entrepreneurship training has proven to be an effective strategy for empowering marginalized women. This model can serve as a reference for other empowerment programs seeking to address social stigma and strengthen participants' economic independence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk alih kode dan campur kode bahasa Indonesia ke bahasa Prokem. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan sifat penelitian deskriptif. Data penelitian ini berupa kata, frasa, klausa, dan kalimat yang memuat bentuk-bentuk alih kode dan campur kode bahasa Prokem dalam media sosial. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah takarir unggahan foto dan video akun instagram dari @lyodraoficial, @husein_hadar, @laporpak_trans7, @kokbisa, dan @lambeh_turah. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik baca, dokumentasi dan catat. Instrumen penelitian adalah peneliti sendiri. Teknik analisis data adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1); terdapat bentuk-bentuk alih kode bahasa prokem intren dan ekstren; (2) terdapat bentuk-bentuk campur kode bahasa Prokem ke dalam, ke luar, dan campuran.Kata Kunci: Alih kode, campur kode, dan bahasa Prokem

Abstract

Critical listening is a high-level language skill that plays an important role in the academic success of students in higher education. However, research that explicitly discusses the problem of critical listening in students is still widespread and has not been systematically mapped. This research aims to identify and synthesize the problem of critical listening in university students through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. This study refers to the PRISMA 2020 guidelines with data sources coming from the ScienceDirect database, Taylor & Francis Online, and the Education Resources Information Center (ERIC). Literature searches are limited to peer-reviewed journal articles published in the 2021–2025 range. Of the total 674 articles identified, 9 articles met the inclusion criteria and were further analyzed. The results of the synthesis show that students critical listening problems include the limitations of advanced metacognitive strategies, low evaluation ability of oral arguments, the influence of affective factors such as listening anxiety and cognitive load, and listening learning designs that are not yet oriented towards critical thinking. The contribution of this research lies in presenting the latest systematic mapping of the problems of critical listening in higher education students, as well as offering a conceptual framework based on literature findings that can be the basis for the development of a critical listening learning model that is integrated with metacognitive strategies, argumentative evaluation, and learning reflection. This research emphasizes the need to develop listening learning that explicitly integrates metacognitive strategies, critical evaluation, and reflection in the context of higher education.

Abstract

Children’s storybooks play an important role in instilling character and educational values. One essential value that should be introduced early is environmental awareness. This study aims to analyze the representation of environmental awareness values in the children’s storybook "Balapan Sampah" (Trash Race). The research employed a qualitative approach using content analysis of the story text. The data consisted of words, phrases, sentences, character dialogues, and events reflecting environmental awareness values. Data were analyzed through close reading, data reduction, categorization, and meaning interpretation based on Stuart Hall’s theory of representation. The findings show that the story represents several environmental awareness values, including maintaining environmental cleanliness, disposing of waste properly, managing waste responsibly, and cooperating to protect the environment. These values are conveyed implicitly through characters’ actions, dialogues, and plot events. The study concludes that "Balapan Sampah" has strong potential as a children’s literary learning medium for fostering environmental awareness and character development from an early age. Abstrak: Buku cerita anak memiliki peran penting dalam menanamkan nilai karakter dan edukatif. Salah satu nilai penting yang perlu diperkenalkan sejak dini ialah kepedulian lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis representasi nilai kepedulian lingkungan dalam buku cerita anak ”Balapan Sampah”. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi terhadap teks cerita. Data berupa kata, frasa, kalimat, dialog tokoh, dan peristiwa yang memuat nilai kepedulian lingkungan. Analisis dilakukan melalui pembacaan menyeluruh, reduksi data, pengelompokan, dan penafsiran makna dengan perspektif teori representasi Stuart Hall. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa cerita ini merepresentasikan nilai menjaga kebersihan lingkungan, membuang sampah pada tempatnya, mengelola sampah dengan baik, serta bekerja sama menjaga lingkungan. Nilai-nilai tersebut disampaikan secara implisit melalui tindakan tokoh, dialog, dan alur cerita. Buku ”Balapan Sampah” berpotensi menjadi media pembelajaran sastra anak untuk menanamkan kepedulian lingkungan dan membentuk karakter sejak dini pada anak
