Abstract

This study aims to (1) know the Balinese language interference that affects the spoken pronunciation of Indonesian in Panglipuran village community and (2) Know the factors that cause Balinese Language Interference to Indonesian. This research uses qualitative research methods, data collection is done through direct interviews to data sources, namely the people of Panglipuran Village Bali. The results of this study show that, phonological interference is influenced by several phonological processes in the form of phoneme changes such as, changes in phoneme /e/ to phoneme /a/, changes in consonant phoneme /b/ to consonant phoneme /m/, changes in phoneme /e/ to phoneme /i/, changes in phoneme /a/ to phoneme /o/, changes in phoneme /e/ to phoneme /i/. Then there is the diphthong process as in the phoneme /au/ into the phoneme /o/, there is also the metathesis of the phoneme /o/ which moves to the phoneme /e/, the elision of the middle phoneme /a/, and the influence of the speaker's hypercorrection. Language interference can also be influenced by several factors such as, 1) speakers who are bilingual; 2) Balinese and Indonesian are cognate languages and; 3) the influence of the times and environmental factors.

Abstract

This article discusses the analysis of slang phonology in social media application "X", a social media application that is often used by some people to write and post tweets using slang varieties. This research aims (1) to find out the variety of slang used by the community in the "X" application; (2) to find out the phonological process of slang that occurs in the "X" application; (3) to find out the factors that influence the use of slang. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques using observation and screenshots. This research has the result that many people use slang in posts on the X application. Phonological changes in slang found in the form of removal of vowels and consonants and changes in the sound of a phoneme. There are 2 factors that make people use slang, namely internal factors and external factors.

Abstract

Abstract This article examines the representation of feminism in the K-Pop song "Nxde," released in 2022 by the girl group (G)I-DLE. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method to analyze the feminist themes in the song. The primary subject of this study is the song "Nxde" by (G)I-DLE, with data collection techniques including listening to and recording the music video available on the official (G)I-DLE YouTube account. The aim of this article is to uncover how feminism is depicted in "Nxde." The results reveal several key findings. Firstly, the song often portrays female subjects as sexual objects, reflecting the intricate gender power dynamics prevalent in Korean pop culture. Secondly, although "Nxde" addresses themes of sexuality, it also attempts to discourage the search for illegal pornographic content involving minors. Thirdly, the song underscores the significance of self-love and self-respect, highlighting a crucial aspect of feminism that focuses on individual female empowerment.

Abstract

Misogyny is one of the forms of hate speech against women that often appears on social media, including in comments on Instagram accounts. This research aims to identify the forms of misogyny in the comments of @claraandjavi's Instagram account and analyze its conceptual meaning. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method with data sources in the form of comments containing elements of misogyny and data collection techniques in the form of  observation and documentary evidence of comments in the form of screenshots. The results showed that there were comments containing misogyny utterances, such as several comments “dia cowo ya?”, “rata tembok”, and “nanti biar di modif sendirif”. This shows that the comments posted have conceptual meanings that relate to women's value of their physical appearance and reflect the prevailing social construction of gender related to unrealistic beauty standards and the comments also contribute to reinforcing the objectification of women's bodies, women are often judged based on their body or physical appearance. That physical appearance is everything for women and women must have a certain body shape to be considered attractive, without regard to ability or personality.aspects of ability or personality.
