Abstract

Sustainable rural development is a strategic issue that requires cross-stakeholder collaboration to optimize local potential. However, most studies still focus on sectoral interventions, neglecting the integration of universities, village governments, and local enterprises in a synergistic manner. This article proposes the application of the Triple Helix Model as a collaborative approach to strengthen village governance, enhance access to technology, and foster local economic empowerment. The study employs literature review and conceptual analysis to formulate a step-by-step implementation model relevant to rural contexts in Indonesia. The main contribution of this research lies in emphasizing the integration of academic knowledge, evidence-based village policies, and local entrepreneurial innovation within a sustainable framework. Accordingly, this article not only enriches the theoretical discourse on rural development but also provides a practical framework that can be adapted to university community service programs and broader inter-village development initiatives

Abstract

This study explores the intricate relationship between religion, identity, and politics in the context of Indonesia's 2019 and 2024 presidential elections. The academic concern stems from increasing societal polarization, the rise of idolatrous voters, and the shallow use of religious narratives in political discourse. Using a qualitative approach and critical discourse analysis, this research investigates how identity politics, theological reasoning, and candidates’ rhetorical strategies shape voter behavior. Findings reveal that low levels of literacy and the dominance of religious symbolism foster irrational political choices and intensify social conflict. Drawing from Mohammed Arkoun's framework of political ethics, particularly his principles of liberative-transformation and religion-state relations, this study proposes strengthening critical reasoning and ethical political ideation. In conclusion, religion, identity, and politics are inseparable systems, best addressed through historical awareness, critical thought, and the formation of transformative agents.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the shifting role of women in Muslim Salafist communities in Indonesia. Stereotyped as being oppressed, unrepresented, and not allowed to participate in the public sphere, the Salafi women are not expected to play an active role in their movement. Constructed on a literary study, this study finds that the female members of the Salafist movement can exercise some level of agency within the framework of structural conditions and are aware of their role. Salafist women in Indonesia are determined to play an active role in society and pursue their higher education, thus preparing them to serve as agents in the movement’s da‘wah activities. Although the women’s role is confined to activities within their community, they help recruit new female members and maintain the movement’s social networks.

In this strategic position, there is always an effort to attract the bureaucracy in the political game area. Bureaucracy used to attain, maintain, or strengthen the power. There are three models to describe the relationship of bureaucracy and politicians: the relationship where the government/executive’ power is dominant that it could dictate the legislative/political/parliamentary, the relationship which the legislators and politicians have always crossed into the realm of the executive and impose their will, and the therelationship which the executive and legislative branches tend to look for a balanced position. Abstract

This article focuses on efforts to find political entrepreneurship for poli-tical actors in Alang-alang Village and the prospects for democracy that are occurring. Based on the research conducted, there are several inte-resting things, including: First, the political entrepreneurship of Alang-alang village Klebun can be seen in the political strategy applied to manage the surrounding actors. Every relationship built by a Klebun to the actors around them is realized as part of the production of power and at the same time maintaining it. Second, in the context of demo-cratization at the local level, political actors in Alang-alang village are trying to get out of the previous centralism of power. The tagline "People's soldier" made by the Alang-alang village government places the community as a king who must be served. However, the ability of Klebun to manage village politics must also be anticipated so that a new king does not emerge at the village level.
