Abstract

This study is motivated by the observation that some teachers face challenges in their professional competencies, particularly in their proficiency with technology as a teaching medium. As a result, there is a need to enhance these teachers' capabilities through the use of Google Meet as a solution to improve their ability to meet professional teaching standards. The objectives of this research are: (1) To assess the professional competence of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers at SMPN 2 Garut. (2) To examine the use of Google Meet as a digital learning medium at SMPN 2 Garut. (3) To evaluate the implications of using Google Meet on the professional competence of teachers at SMPN 2 Garut. This study employs a field-based qualitative research method. The primary data sources include interviews with PAI teachers at SMPN 2 Garut, while secondary data sources comprise books and other literature relevant to this research. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique follows the Miles and Huberman model, which involves data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings of this research indicate that the use of Google Meet as a digital learning medium positively impacts teachers' professional competencies. A teacher's ability to effectively utilize technology contributes to their qualification as a professional educator. These are the key findings derived from this study. Abstract

The concept of education is often used in a way that is not in accordance with the conditions of educators and students in Indonesia. Therefore, the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology Nadiem Anwar Makarim implemented the Merdeka Curriculum as a solution to this problem. This independent curriculum is more flexible to support learning recovery caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and to catch up with Indonesia's education compared to other countries. This independent curriculum has something unique, namely differentiated learning, which consists of four elements, namely teaching materials, processes, products, and learning environments. The purpose of this research is to describe the concept of differentiated learning of teaching materials from the perspective of Islamic education science. Researchers used a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis method. The data collection technique used is literature research, and the data analysis technique uses content analysis techniques. The results showed that differentiated learning of teaching materials in the independent curriculum is a learning process that adapts teaching materials to meet the diverse needs of students in the classroom according to the interests, talents, and learning readiness of students. . In the study of Islamic Education, differentiated learning of teaching materials is in line with Islamic education, as contained in the Qur'an letter Al-Maidah verse 48 regarding anti-discrimination in education, as well as the content of letter At-Taubah verse 122 that requires a learner to explore a material. The alignment of differentiated learning of teaching materials with the concept of Islamic education is also seen in the suitability of educational components. Differentiated learning of teaching materials can create a more holistic educational environment, responsive to student diversity, and in accordance with Islamic values.  Keywords: Independent curriculum, differentiated learning, teaching materials, Islamic Education.

Abstract

The decline in achievement in Islamic Religious Education subjects has become a problem as well as an evaluation material for PAI teachers and educational institutions in improving the quality of students. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in student achievement in Islamic Religious Education subjects by implementing computational thinking. The formulation of the research problems are: 1) How is the Implementation of Computational Thinking Method? 2) How to Improve Student Achievement in Class X Multimedia at SMK Ciledug Al-Musaddadiyah Garut? 3) What are the implications of the Computational Thinking Method on Improving Student Achievement in Islamic Education Subjects? The research method used is a quasi-experimental with a mix method approach (mixed methods). Based on the results of research and qualitative and statistical data processing, there are results showing that the implementation of computational thinking in class X multimedia uses decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithms, the t value in the experimental group is 1.175 > the t table value is 0.692 so it can be concluded that computational thinking can improve student achievement in Islamic Religious Education subjects and there is a questionnaire score of 52% about students' perceptions that computational thinking is a fun learning method, compared to the discussion method obtained through questionnaire data of 48%.  Keywords: computational thinking, improvement of student achievement, Islamic religious education

Abstract

Reading the Qur'an is crucial to prevent humanity from going astray in life. To comprehend the content and meaning of any text, one must first read it; this holds true for the Qur'an as well. Motivation is a key factor that encourages Muslims to regularly read the Qur'an. In the digital era, the Qur'an Android app has become a significant tool for encouraging teenagers to engage in Qur'anic reading. This study aims to describe: (1) The impact of using the Qur'an Android app on the motivation to read the Qur'an among teenagers at SMP IT Al-Falah Cilawu. (2) The level of motivation for reading the Qur'an among teenagers at SMP IT Al-Falah Cilawu. (3) The effect of the Qur'an Android app on the reading motivation of teenagers at SMP IT Al-Falah. Consequently, this study seeks to understand the relationship between the use of the Qur'an Android app (Variable X) and the motivation to read the Qur'an among teenagers (Variable Y). The research employs an inferential quantitative method, gathering data and information about the phenomena under study. Data collection techniques include questionnaires distributed to 27 respondents, observations, and document studies. Data analysis is conducted using statistical data analysis methods. The statistical test results indicate that the use of the Qur'an Android app influences reading motivation among students at SMP IT Al-Falah Muhammadiyah Cilawu Garut by 33.55%. The hypothesis test results show that the impact of using the Qur'an Android app on the reading motivation of 9th-grade students at SMP IT Al-Falah Cilawu is 43.5%, while the remaining 56.45% is influenced by other factors not covered in this study. Abstract

Academic achievement is the assessment of learning outcomes expressed in the form of symbols, numbers, letters, or sentences that reflect the results achieved by students. Currently, student performance in the subject of Islamic Cultural History remains low, with some students scoring below the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM). Audio-visual aids are teaching materials used in the learning process to convey information or concepts through the use of sound, images, and motion. These aids are designed to provide a more interactive and engaging learning experience, facilitating students' understanding of the material being taught. This study aims to describe the impact of using audio-visual aids in Islamic Cultural History lessons on improving students' academic achievement. The research method employed is experimental, specifically a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test post-test control group setup. Data collection techniques included observation, questionnaires distributed to 68 students, and document study. Data processing was conducted using statistical analysis. The results of the study indicate that the average pre-test score for the experimental group was 58.794, while the control group scored 58.205. After the intervention using problem-based learning with audio-visual aids, the post-test average in the experimental group increased to 69.529, whereas the control group's average, which did not use audio-visual aids, was 61.235. Based on the t-test results, the value of t_calculated > t_table (t_calculated = 4.489 > t_table = 1.996). Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of audio-visual aids on the academic achievement of students in the Islamic Cultural History subject in the Xth grade at MA Fauzaniyyah Sukaresmi Garut. Abstract

This research discusses increasing students' learning activities in learning about Islam through animation media assisted by the Canva application. Learning activities are activities that require students to play an active role in the learning process. However, in reality, students' learning activities are currently still relatively low. This is proven by the results of observations which show that only around 35% of the 30 students can be said to be effective in learning activities so that a learning stimulus is needed, one of which is using learning media, namely animation media which can be created through the Canva application. Canva is one of the many applications that can be used to design learning media, including animation media, in which there are lots of templates available that can be used easily. The aim of this research is to describe the significance of the use of animation media assisted by the Canva application to increase students' learning activities in Islamic religious learning. This research uses a type of Classroom Action Research (CAR) or often called CAR (Classroom Action Research). Data collection techniques include observation, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique uses statistical analysis techniques, in PTK only uses simple statistical formulas to find the average value and percentage of learning completeness. Based on the results of classroom action research carried out in two cycles, there was an increase in learning activities in cycle I to 57%, then there was an increase again in cycle II to 86%. Thus, it can be understood that there is a significant increase in student learning activities of 22% from pre-cycle to cycle I and 29% from cycle I to cycle II. So, overall there was an increase in student learning activities with a significance of 51% from pre-cycle to cycle II. Keywords: Learning Activities, Animation Media, Islamic Religion Instruction.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the observation that students in the 10th-grade Multimedia class at SMK Plus Sukaraja struggle with understanding the material, particularly in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects. The students tend to focus more on vocational subjects that align with their major, leading to a cognitive decline in their learning process for PAI subjects. Additionally, teachers face difficulties managing students who are less focused and inattentive during lessons. To address these challenges, teachers have implemented strategies using a computational thinking approach in the learning process. This research focuses on the use of computational thinking strategies to enhance students' cognitive learning outcomes in the moral (akhlaq) component of the PAI curriculum. The objectives of this study are: (1) To assess the cognitive learning outcomes of students in the moral (akhlaq) component of the PAI subject for the 10th-grade Multimedia class at SMK Plus Sukaraja. (2) To explore the application of computational thinking strategies in the moral (akhlaq) component of the PAI subject at SMK Plus Sukaraja. (3) To evaluate the effectiveness of computational thinking strategies in improving students' cognitive learning outcomes in the moral (akhlaq) component of the PAI subject at SMK Plus Sukaraja. The research employs a field-based descriptive qualitative approach to answer these questions. Data analysis methods include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion or verification. The findings of this research generally conclude that the application of computational thinking strategies can enhance students' cognitive learning outcomes. This is evidenced by increased student engagement in class, with more questions being asked, improved focus during lessons, and enhanced cognitive problem-solving skills as reflected in better evaluation results.
