Abstract

This study aims to analyze the marketing strategy of PT XYZ's vannamei shrimp in facing market competition and to formulate effective strategies to increase sales in the domestic market. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using interviews, observations, and internal company documents. External environment analysis is conducted using the PESTLE framework and Porter’s Five Forces to identify opportunities and threats, while internal analysis applies Segmenting, Targeting, and Positioning (STP) and the 7P marketing mix to identify strengths and weaknesses. The findings are integrated through SWOT analysis and the QSPM matrix to generate strategic recommendations. The results indicate that PT XYZ still faces weaknesses in market reach and STP implementation, while global competition and oversupply pose significant external threats. The recommended strategies include strengthening domestic distribution and marketing channels, utilizing IoT technology to improve farming efficiency, and diversifying processed shrimp products. This research contributes theoretically to the development of marketing strategies for fishery commodities and provides practical recommendations for PT XYZ to enhance competitiveness and increase sales in local markets.

Abstract

Udang vanname merupakan jenis udang yang pembudidayaannya hampir tersebar luas di seluruh wilayah Indonesia. Dalam pengembangan produksi udang vanname, diperlukan lahan yang luas dan benih dalam jumlah yang banyak serta berkualitas. Kebutuhan akan benih dalam jumlah yang banyak serta berkualitas menjadi hal penting dalam meningkatkan produksi udang vanname. Benih berkualitas dihasilkan dari proses pemeliharaan larva yang dimonitoring melalui persyaratan yang ketat. Pemenuhan atas kebutuhan benih yang berkualitas tidak terlepas dari keberhasilan pemeliharaan stadia larva dari udang vanname. Permasalahan yang sering dihadapi adalah proses pemeliharaan pada stadia selanjutnya yakni zoea hingga post larva karena pada stadia ini, larva membutuhkan suplai makanan dari luar. Berdasarkan permasalahan dan tingkat kesulitan pada stadia awal pemeliharaan larva udang vanname tersebut, diperlukan kajiankajian atau informasi mengenai teknik pemeliharaan larva stadia awal (nauplius) hingga stadia post larva yang ditinjau dari tingkat kelangsungan hidup, pertumbuhan dan manajemen kualitas air pada unit-unit usaha pembenihan. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah mengetahui pertambahan panjang mutlak larva, tingkat kelangsungan hidup larva (SR), perkembangan stadia larva dan pengamatan kualitas air. Hasil pengamatan yang diperoleh, nilai panjang mutlak dari larva yang dipelihara adalah 3,5 mm dengan tingkat kelangsungan hidup sebesar 75,6%. Hasil pengamatan selama pemeliharaan yang dilakukan untuk perkembangan larva pada setiap stadia menunjukan larva udang vanname mengalami perubahan pada setiap stadia pengamatan. Hasil pengukuran kualitas air antara lain suhu berkisar 29-31 C, Salinitas berkisar 29-33 ppt, pH berkisar 8,1-8,4, DO 5,21-5,85 mg/l dan Amoniak berkisar 0,0-0,3 mg/l. Parameter kualitas air untuk suhu, salinitas, pH dan DO masih tergolong optimal selama pemeliharaan sedangkan untuk Amoniak, hanya pada minggu ketiga yang nilainya mengalami peningkatan.Litopenaeus vanname is variety of shrimp that has been cultured around Indonesia. Wide areal, massive and high quality larvae were compliments in order to increase the output from growing this species. The need for quality larvae in large quatities is an important thing in order to recrease the production of vanname shrimp. A quality larvae comes from strict larval rearing process. Fulfillment of quality larval cannot be separated from the sucess of maintaning larval stages. Problem that is often faced is the maintaned process at the next stage, namely zoea to post larvae because the stage, larvae need nutrition from external sources. Based on the problem and level of difficulty in early stage of maintaning vanname shrimp larval. There are come studies or information about aquaculture technique of early stage (nauplius) until post larvae stage include survival rate, total lenght of larvae, water quality that need to be gathered. The aim of this activity is to know total length of larvae, survival rate (SR), stadia growth of larvae and water quality. As the result of observation, total length of growing larvae is 3,5mm with 75.6% survival rate. The result of observation during rearing process for larval development at each stage showed that vanname shrimp larvae changed at each observation stages. The result of water quality measurments inclued temperatures ranging from 29-31 C, salinity rangging from 29-33 ppt, pH rangging from 8,1-8,4, DO rangging from 5,21-5,85 mg/l and amonia rangging from 0,0-0,3 mg/l. Water quality parameters for temperature, salinity, pH and DO were still considered optimal during maintenance, while amonia only increased in the third week.
