Abstract

Thisi studyi aimsi toi describei thei application ofi a scientific approach in thei usei ofi audio-visuali teaching materialsi andi its influence on thei learningi outcomesi ofi classi VIIIa studentsi ofi SMP Negerii 1i Tojo Barat in language learning. The scientific approachi wasi choseni becausei iti isi ablei toi encourage students to actively observe, ask questions, try, reason, and communicate learning outcomes. The study used qualitativei methodsi withi datai collectioni techniquesi ini thei formi ofi observation, i interviews, i documentation, i andi pre-testi andi post-test. i Thei resultsi ofi thei studyi showed thati thei usei ofi audio-visual mediai can increase interest ini learning, i understanding of the material, and activei involvementi ofi studentsi ini thei learningi process. i Ini stage I, thei average teacher activity was 68.8, student activity 76, and the highest student learning score was 70 and the lowest 52. After improving the strategy, in stage II there was a significant increase with the average teacher activity reaching 92, student activity 89, and learning scores increasing to 76, the highest and 40, the lowest. The application of a scientific approach based on audio-visual media has proven effective in creating interactive and meaningful learning, andi ini accordancei withi thei characteristicsi ofi students. i The scientific approach combined with audio-visual media has proven effective ini increasingi thei interest, activity, i andi learningi outcomesi ofi classi VIIIa studentsi ofi SMPi Negerii 1i Tojo Barat in learning Indonesian.

Abstract

A mural is a form of two-dimensional visual art that develops in public spaces as a medium of expression, communication, and education. In Jorong Koto, Nagari Sibakur, Tanjung Gadang Subdistrict, Sijunjung Regency, the mural-making activity was part of a community service program conducted by students of Universitas Negeri Padang through their Community Service Program (KKN). This article aims to describe the process of mural creation, community involvement, and the visual themes portrayed, such as the Indonesian national flag and coffee, which represents one of the local livelihoods. The mural also carries symbolic meaning through the participation of residents and the village head, who contributed by imprinting their handprints on the mural. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the mural not only beautifies the environment but also strengthens the sense of togetherness and local identity of the Jorong Koto community. This activity also demonstrates how art-based innovation can be used as a creative approach in community empowerment.

Abstract

This Study discusses the role of the family in developing moral aspects through thehabit of sorry, please and than you to children aged 5 – 6 years in Cenpalagi hamlet. This type of research is field research. This type of research uses a qualitative approach, a pedagogic approach, a psychological approach and a sociological approach. This study uses data analysis techniques with the process of reducing data,, presenting data, and drawing concluisions. The results of the study show that there are several roles of the family in providing habituation to children, that is : a) routine habituation b) always consistent in providing habituation, and c) familiarize children from childhood. Factors supporting parents in giving the habit of sorry, pleaseand thank you to children aged 5 – 6 years, namely : a) parental support b) a good environment. While the inhibiting factors are a) the busyness of parents, b) the lack of attention of parents in getting used to children, and c) children’s preferences in playing make parents lack of time for children.
