Abstract

Efforts to enhance service quality are pivotal for elevating the standard of health services. This challenging task extends beyond advanced health facilities like hospitals to all levels of primary health care, including Community Health Centers (Puskesmas). By recognizing the value of effective management and administration, we can devise suitable strategies to boost service quality. The method employed in this study is a qualitative descriptive method with a literature study type. The literature study in this research, a series of activities related to library data collection methods, reading and recording, and managing research data objectively, systematically, analytically, and critically, sheds light on the analysis of competencies and the crucial role of health administrators in enhancing service quality. The findings reveal that the Graha Indah Balikpapan Community Health Center grapples with significant operational challenges in several areas, including correspondence, employee file storage, and immunization polyclinic waiting room facilities. The irregular correspondence decreases work efficiency and increases the risk of document loss. Disorganized employee file storage impacts employee productivity, jeopardizes the loss of crucial information, and disrupts patient care. The inadequate waiting room conditions in the immunization polyclinic also disrupt the service process and compromise patient comfort. The research suggests implementing a digital-based document management system to streamline the search, tracking, and archiving of letters and create clear SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for the flow of incoming and outgoing mail.

Abstract

Anemia, particularly iron deficiency anemia, is a condition in which the body does not have enough healthy red blood cells to carry oxygen to the body's tissues. In pregnant women, anemia can impact fetal health, including the risk of premature birth, low birth weight, and stunting. Children who experience stunting tend to have stunted growth and less than optimal cognitive development. To determine and analyze the relationship between maternal anemia history during pregnancy and the incidence of stunting in toddlers at the Batui Community Health Center (UPTD), Banggai Regency. This study used an analytical survey with a cross-sectional study approach. The population in this study was 224 mothers with toddlers. The total sample was 69 people. This study used a questionnaire. The data analysis test used the chi-square test. This study's conclusion shows that most mothers at the Batui Community Health Center (UPTD), Banggai Regency, did not experience anemia during pregnancy, and most toddlers did not experience stunting. However, there was a significant relationship between maternal anemia history during pregnancy and the incidence of stunting in toddlers. The Chi-Square test produced a p-value of 0.000, confirming that anemia in pregnant women is closely related to toddler stunting.

Abstract

Anxiety in pregnant women is a common problem and can have negative impacts on maternal and fetal health. Women experience anxiety during pregnancy which can increase the risk of complications such as postpartum depression, premature birth, and impaired infant development. Non-pharmacological interventions such as prenatal gentle yoga and dhikr therapy have been shown to be effective separately in reducing anxiety levels. This study aims to analyze the effect of the combination of the two interventions on the level of anxiety in pregnant women. This study used a quantitative method with a pre-experimental design ( one group pretest and posttest design ) without a control group. The study was conducted in June-July 2024 in the working area of the UPTD Bara Permai Health Center, Palopo City. The sample consisted of 26 pregnant women in the second and third trimesters who were selected using the accidental sampling technique. The intervention was a combination of prenatal gentle yoga and dhikr therapy for four weeks. The instrument used was the Perinatal Anxiety Screening Scale (PASS) to measure anxiety levels before and after the intervention. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test . The average level of anxiety before the intervention was 28.69 (SD=7.504) and decreased to 20.81 (SD=8.551) after the intervention. The results of the statistical test showed a significant effect (p=0.000) on the level of anxiety of pregnant women before and after being given a combination of prenatal gentle yoga and dhikr therapy intervention. The combination of prenatal gentle yoga and dhikr therapy has been proven effective in reducing anxiety levels in pregnant women. This intervention can be used as an alternative non-pharmacological approach that is safe, easy to implement, and low-cost to overcome anxiety during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters approaching delivery.
