Abstract

This qualitative literature review explores the role of digital marketing strategies in the social media era and their influence on the competitive advantage of startup companies. The study identifies key factors such as customer responsiveness, service quality, branding, and profitability as crucial elements for enhancing competitive advantage. Social media platforms enable startups to interact with customers more personally and directly, thereby increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty. Moreover, social media facilitates effective brand building and optimization of marketing strategies to increase profitability. Despite the valuable insights, the study is limited by its reliance on secondary data and focus on recent literature, which may not fully capture the rapidly evolving dynamics of social media. Future research should include empirical studies to provide deeper contextual understanding and explore emerging technologies and trends in social media marketing.

Abstract

This qualitative literature review explores the critical role of human resources (HR) in the success of digital transformation initiatives. The study highlights that digital transformation extends beyond technological adoption, requiring organizational cultural shifts and process reengineering. HR is pivotal in facilitating these changes through skill development, employee empowerment, and cross-departmental collaboration. Effective leadership and a clear strategic vision are essential to guide organizations through this transformation journey. Structured frameworks are necessary to ensure all elements harmoniously work towards achieving digital transformation goals. Despite providing valuable insights, this study is limited by its reliance on recent literature, potentially overlooking relevant older studies, and its qualitative nature, which may not be generalizable across all industries. Further research is needed to validate these findings across diverse organizational contexts.

Abstract

This qualitative literature review examines the role of government loan programs in addressing credit constraints that hinder small business growth. Synthesizing recent empirical studies from Japan, the United States, and the European Union, the review finds that well-targeted public lending initiatives facilitate capital investment, employment expansion, and long-term productivity among financially constrained firms. The evidence highlights that government credit often complements rather than substitutes private lending and serves as a structural mechanism to reduce financial frictions. Program effectiveness is found to depend heavily on institutional design, eligibility targeting, and administrative capacity. The findings underscore the strategic value of sustained public intervention in SME finance, not only during crises but also for long-term economic resilience and inclusive growth

Abstract

This qualitative literature review explores how adaptive capacity mediates resilience in small family businesses (SFBs) during systemic shocks. Drawing from recent empirical studies, the review identifies adaptive capacity as a dynamic capability that enables SFBs to respond effectively to crises through flexible leadership, innovation, generational collaboration, and social capital. Unlike non-family firms, SFBs exhibit unique strengths and constraints rooted in socioemotional wealth, long-term orientation, and intergenerational ties. The findings highlight that adaptive capacity functions as a crucial intermediary between environmental disruption and business continuity. Contextual factors such as industry, firm size, and institutional support further influence resilience outcomes. This study contributes to the theoretical understanding of resilience by positioning adaptive capacity as a central mechanism in navigating systemic shocks.

Abstract

This qualitative literature review explores how strategic earnings targeting in public banking interacts with market discipline, consumer pricing, and franchise value dynamics. By synthesizing findings from recent empirical studies, the paper reveals that earnings management in banks—whether through accrual-based or real activities—is often employed to meet regulatory thresholds and investor expectations, thereby preserving reputational capital and long-term market access. Market discipline both constrains and motivates such behavior, as depositors and investors closely monitor performance signals. The review also highlights how banks strategically set pricing for loans and deposits to align with earnings targets while protecting franchise value amid rising competition and regulatory oversight. Ultimately, the synthesis underscores the complex trade-offs between transparency, performance signaling, and sustainable value creation in the public banking sector

Abstract

This qualitative literature review synthesizes interdisciplinary research on how employees’ technological sensing capabilities shape generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) capabilities and innovative work behavior. Drawing on dynamic capabilities theory, microfoundations of sensing, and human–AI interaction literature, the review integrates findings from management, information systems, and innovation studies. The synthesis reveals that technological sensing—employees’ ability to identify, interpret, and anticipate emerging technologies—does not directly translate into innovation, but operates through the development of distinct GenAI capabilities. In particular, GenAI evaluation capability consistently emerges as a stronger driver of innovative work behavior than GenAI usage capability alone, as it enables critical judgment, contextualization, and creative recombination of AI-generated outputs. The review further highlights contextual moderators such as leadership support, task complexity, and organizational climate. Overall, the study advances theory by positioning individual sensing as a microfoundation of AI-enabled innovation and offers implications for organizations seeking to leverage GenAI beyond efficiency gains.
