Abstract

Teacher welfare is one of the key factors in improving the quality of education in Islamic educational institutions. However, there are still many teachers who face welfare challenges due to the suboptimal compensation system, both financially and non-financially. This study aims to analyze strategies to improve teachers' welfare through the provision of fair compensation and in accordance with Islamic principles. The research method used is a literature study by examining various literature, journal articles, and the results of previous research related to teacher compensation and welfare in Islamic educational institutions. The results of the study show that effective compensation is not only in the form of salaries and benefits, but also includes non-financial rewards such as training, career development, a conducive work environment, and recognition of teachers' dedication. The integration of Islamic values in the compensation system, such as the principles of fairness, transparency, and proportionality, has been proven to increase teacher motivation, loyalty, and professionalism. In addition, the main challenges faced by Islamic educational institutions in the implementation of compensation are budget limitations and the performance appraisal system is not optimal. Therefore, it is necessary to innovate sustainable compensation strategies, such as the use of alternative sources of funds, periodic evaluations, and the involvement of teachers in the formulation of compensation policies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of educational management of non-formal institutions based on the values of the Qur'an and Hadith and identify relevant management models to improve the effectiveness of institutional management. The background of the research shows that non-formal education has a strategic role, but its management practices still face various obstacles, such as limited human resources, weak planning, and a lack of innovation. This research uses a literature study method by examining accredited journals, research reports, and scientific papers related to non-formal education management and Islamic management perspectives. The analysis was carried out through a content approach to find the main themes that formed the pattern of implementation of Qur'an and Hadith values in the management function. The results of the study show that the values of trust, deliberation, ihsan, and hisbah play an important role in strengthening the functions of planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising in non-formal institutions. The discussion emphasized that the integration of these values is able to answer managerial weaknesses empirically and produce a more effective, participatory, and Islamic management model. This research makes a conceptual contribution to the development of the management of non-formal institutions in Indonesia. In conclusion, management based on the values of the Qur'an and Hadith not only improves the quality of governance of non-formal institutions but also strengthens the character and spirituality of education as a whole.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the transformational leadership of the madrasah head in developing a superior tahfidz program at MTs Unggulan Perwanida, Blitar City. The research is motivated by the importance of the madrasah head's role in building a culture of tahfidz discipline through a system of memorization targets, supervision, and continuous program evaluation. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed. Data collection techniques included observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Informants included the madrasah head, tahfidz teachers, the vice principal, students, and parents. Data were analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and SaldaƱa model, while data validity was tested through source and technique triangulation. The results showed that the madrasah head applied transformational leadership through role modeling, motivation, supervision, and regular evaluation of the tahfidz program. Development strategies included annual memorization targets, routine muroja'ah (revision), memorization monitoring, and the use of rewards and punishments. The program's success was supported by the commitment of the madrasah head, the competence of tahfidz teachers, and parental involvement in supervising students' memorization. Inhibiting factors included differences in students' memorization abilities, lack of consistency in muroja'ah, and time limitations. The study concludes that the transformational leadership of the madrasah head plays a strategic role in building a quality culture and discipline within the superior tahfidz program at Islamic educational institutions.
