Abstract

Compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) usage is an important indicator of occupational safety implementation in chemistry laboratories, which carry high risks of accidents and hazardous material exposure. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between knowledge, attitude, and PPE availability with compliance among students of the Environmental Health Department at Poltekkes Kemenkes Banjarmasin. A cross-sectional study design with a quantitative approach was employed. The study sample consisted of 80 students, including 40 students from the Diploma Three Program, 4th semester, and 40 students from the Applied Bachelor Program, 6th semester, selected using total sampling. Data were collected through direct observation and structured questionnaires, then analyzed using the Chi-square test at a 0.05 significance level. The results showed that knowledge (p=0.539) and attitude (p=1.000) were not significantly associated with PPE compliance. PPE availability also did not show a significant relationship (p=0.164); however, there was a tendency for higher compliance when PPE was adequately available (65.7%) compared to insufficient availability (40.0%). These findings align with the PRECEDE–PROCEED model, which emphasizes the role of enabling factors in shaping health behaviors. The results highlight that improving compliance cannot rely solely on education and positive attitude formation but also requires adequate PPE provision, continuous supervision, and the establishment of a safety culture in the educational environment.

Abstract

This research aims to identify and analyze the Loan Products at the Micro Waqf Bank of Pondok Pesantren As'ad in the Danau Teluk Subdistrict, Jambi City. The study is conducted at the Micro Waqf Bank of Pondok Pesantren As'ad in Jambi City. The variable in this research is the implementation of loan products applied at the Micro Waqf Bank of Pondok Pesantren As'ad. The approach used in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach. The focus of this research is on how to manage the risk of customer default in the Micro Waqf Bank of Pondok Pesantren As'ad Jambi, using various methods, including the mudharabah method. This method is in line with the principles of Sharia economics, where the applied principles are cooperation, mutual assistance, and the principle of kinship. The findings of the assessment regarding the Analysis of Loan Products at the Micro Waqf Bank of Pondok Pesantren As'ad, Danau Teluk Subdistrict, Jambi City, indicate that the loan products implemented in the Micro Waqf Bank PP. As'ad Jambi is judged as qard hasan. The mudharabah method is one of the methods used. However, the existence of this method is not the main goal of establishing the Micro Waqf Bank; rather, it anticipates situations where customers fail to repay loans.

Abstract

Fruit waste generated by vendors in Banjarbaru City has the potential to pollute the environment if not properly managed. One alternative management approach is processing it into compost with the addition of bioactivators. This study aimed to optimize the compost maturation process through the addition of rumen waste and leachate bioactivators. The research was conducted using an experimental design with 12 kg of fruit waste treated with varying doses of rumen waste and leachate bioactivators. The observed parameters included temperature, pH, moisture content, and compost quality based on organic carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium content, in accordance with the Indonesian National Standard (SNI 19-7030-2004). The results showed that the combination of 0.5 kg of rumen waste and 1.5 liters of leachate (D2) provided optimal temperature, pH, and moisture conditions to accelerate compost maturation and produced compost with characteristics that met the standard. In conclusion, this combination was effective in accelerating decomposition and improving compost quality, although further studies are needed regarding nutrient content analysis and the development of a more efficient composter design.
