Abstract

Abstrack: This thesis discusses "Learning Mathematics Using Number Cards for Addition and Subtraction Materials for Class II Students of SDN Inti No. 2 Pewunu, Dolo Barat District, Sigi Regency". This study aims to determine the process of learning mathematics using number card teaching aids for addition and subtraction materials for class II students of SDN Inti No. 2 Pewunu, as well as to determine how students respond to the use of number card teaching aids and what factors support and inhibit the process of learning mathematics using number card teaching aids for addition and subtraction materials for class II students of SDN Inti No. 2 Pewunu. The type of research used in this study is a descriptive qualitative research type, which uses three data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews, and documentation/documents. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and data verification. While checking the validity of the data uses triangulation techniques. The results of the study indicate that the application of number card teaching aids in mathematics learning, especially in addition and subtraction materials, has proven effective in helping students understand the basic concepts of these arithmetic operations. These teaching aids allow students to see and feel directly the process of addition and subtraction, making it easier for them to understand the relationship between numbers. In addition, the use of number cards can increase interaction and active participation of students in learning activities, accelerate concept mastery, and minimize boredom in the learning process. In this way, students not only memorize the steps of operations, but can also connect mathematical concepts in a more concrete and enjoyable way. Supporting factors include the availability of teaching aids, school support, and ease of use of the tool, while inhibiting factors include time constraints, difficulty in understanding concepts, and challenges in maintaining concentration. Keyword: Learning, Mathematic, Number Card Abstrak: Skripsi ini membahas tentang “Pembelajaran Matematika dengan Menggunakan Alat Peraga Kartu Angka Materi Penjumlahan dan Pengurangan pada Peserta Didik Kelas II SDN Inti No 2 Pewunu Kecamatan Dolo Barat Kabupaten Sigi”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan alat peraga kartu angka materi penjumlahan dan pengurangan pada peserta didik kelas II SDN Inti No 2 Pewunu, serta untuk mengetahui bagaimana respon peserta didik terhadap penggunaan alat peraga kartu angka dan faktor apa saja yang menjadi pendukung dan penghambat proses pembelajaran matematika menggunakan alat peraga kartu angka materi penjumlahan dan pengurangan pada peserta didik kelas II SDN Inti No 2 Pewunu. Jenis Penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif, yang menggunakan tiga teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi/dokumen. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi data. Sedangkan pengecekan keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan alat peraga kartu angka dalam pembelajaran matematika, khususnya pada materi penjumlahan dan pengurangan, terbukti efektif dalam membantu peserta didik memahami konsep dasar operasi hitung tersebut. alat peraga ini memungkinkan peserta didik untuk melihat dan merasakan secara langsung proses penjumlahan dan pengurangan, sehingga membuat mereka lebih mudah memahami hubungan antar angka. Selain itu, penggunaan kartu angka dapat meningkatkan interaksi dan partisipasi aktif peserta didik dalam kegiatan belajar, mempercepat penguasaan konsep, serta meminimalisir kebosanan dalam proses pembelajaran. Dengan cara ini, peserta didik tidak hanya menghafal langkah-langkah operasi, tetapi juga dapat menghubungkan konsep matematika dengan cara yang lebih konkret dan menyenangkan. Faktor pendukung meliputi ketersediaan alat peraga, dukungan sekolah, dan kemudahan penggunaan alat tersebut, sedangkan faktor penghambat termasuk keterbatasan waktu, kesulitan pemahaman konsep, dan tantangan menjaga konsentrasi. Abstract

This study aims to describe the teacher’s strategies in managing students’ emotions and the impact of these strategies at SD Inpres Bumi Bahari, Palu City. Emotional management in elementary education is an essential aspect in creating a conducive and effective learning environment. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through interviews with the principal, classroom teacher, students, and parents. The results show that teachers apply several dominant strategies in managing students’ emotions, including calm and empathetic communication, continuous guidance and advice, conflict mediation between students, and exemplary behavior in emotional control. These strategies are implemented consistently in daily classroom activities. The findings indicate that the implementation of these strategies has a positive impact on students’ emotional development. Students become more emotionally stable, classroom conflicts decrease, and the learning environment becomes more conducive and comfortable. In addition, students demonstrate improved social attitudes such as willingness to apologize, respect for others, and better emotional control. These results imply that teacher involvement plays a crucial role in shaping students’ emotional regulation and social behavior in elementary school settings. Therefore, strengthening teacher competencies in emotional management is highly recommended to support holistic student development.
