Abstract

Background: Information technology has become an integral part of various sectors of life, including education. In particular, it has influenced the delivery of guidance and counseling services, enabling new models of communication and interaction between counselors and students. Objective: This study aimed to determine the model of information services and examine its influence through the use of Fanpage Counseling on Facebook at SMP Negeri 1 Gurah. Method: This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The study was conducted in 2022 at SMP Negeri 1 Gurah, involving a sample of 18 students. Result: The findings revealed that the use of a Facebook Fanpage had a significant influence on the delivery of guidance and counseling information services at SMP Negeri 1 Gurah. Conclusion: The study concluded that the use of Facebook Fanpage by students facilitates the delivery of school counseling information and positively influences student engagement with the service. Contribution: This research contributes new insights and practical knowledge regarding the implementation of information service models through social media, particularly Fanpage Counseling, in school settings.

Abstract

Background: Teacher professionalism, particularly in pedagogical competence, plays a critical role in the quality of the learning process and student outcomes. Understanding how teachers apply and develop their pedagogical skills is essential for enhancing educational effectiveness. Objective: This study aims to assess the professionalism of teacher performance in the learning process at SMP Negeri 1 Kepung, with a specific focus on pedagogical competence. Method: A qualitative-descriptive approach was employed. Data were gathered through observations, interviews, and documentation involving teachers and the principal. The data analysis process included data reduction, presentation, verification, and conclusion drawing. Result: The study identified three key aspects of pedagogical competence among teachers: (1) efforts to improve students' abilities, (2) effective performance during the learning process, and (3) strategic approaches to developing pedagogical skills. Conclusion: Teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Kepung exhibit professional pedagogical competence through various strategies aimed at improving student learning and instructional quality.Contribution: This study offers both theoretical and practical contributions by providing insights into the development of teacher professionalism, serving as a reference for future educational practices and policy improvements related to pedagogical competence.

Abstract

Academic procrastination is a major problem faced by many students in school, this can lead to decreased student productivity in doing assignments. The purpose of this technique is to help students change negative thought patterns that cause academic procrastination behavior into more productive positive thoughts. The research method used in this study is the Mix Method with Sequential Explanatory design. This research was conducted in 2023, located at SMP Negeri 1 Kepung. Data collection using a questionnaire. Data analysis used the t-test. The results showed that cognitive restructuring techniques through group counseling had an effect in reducing students' academic procrastination. The contribution of this research Results are used as a source of knowledge, especially in the field of counseling guidance regarding group counseling on students' academic procrastination behavior.
