Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Ustadz Hanan Attaki’s preaching style on TikTok on the self-motivation of teenagers in understanding and practicing Islamic teachings. A quantitative approach with a survey method was applied to 25 respondents who are TikTok-using teenagers and viewers of Ustadz Hanan Attaki’s da’wah content. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire. The results indicate that a relaxed, relatable, and communicative preaching style significantly influences teens’ religious motivation. A simple linear regression test showed a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.856, indicating that 86% of the variation in self-motivation is explained by the preaching style. These findings highlight the importance of adapting preaching methods to the digital era, particularly through social media platforms.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how coaches and senior female chess players at Percasi Palembang communicate in building their competitive mentality. Communication between coaches and athletes is very important in the coaching process because this sport requires psychological endurance and strategic thinking skills. Through observation and interviews with coaches and female athletes, this study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The results of the study show that two main communication patterns are used in coaching: directive and collaborative patterns. The directive pattern is used to provide technical instructions, analyze positions, assess strategies, and provide immediate corrections to athletes' mistakes during training. Meanwhile, the collaborative pattern emerges through two-way discussions, openness, empathy, emotional support, and the development of psychological closeness; these two patterns make athletes feel more comfortable in expressing their mental and strategic obstacles. This boosts athletes' confidence, mental resilience, and competitive focus. With good communication, training becomes more enjoyable, athletes are more involved in strategy analysis, and they are better prepared for the pressure of competition. The results of this study show that the quality of the emotional and intellectual relationship between coaches and athletes is an important foundation for building mental preparedness for competition. Therefore, to support the competitive performance of chess players, coaches must improve their interpersonal communication skills.

Abstract

The importance of design innovation amid fierce competition among local products, such as unique designs that combine modern styles and cultural elements, can attract consumers' attention. One local product that applies this concept is Kaos Nyenyes Palembang. This study aims to determine the application of the exclusive design concept as a marketing strategy for Kaos Nyenyes Palembang products. This qualitative study uses a literature review method. The results show that Kaos Nyenyes implements a “one color, one design” strategy with limited production to create scarcity value and designs that combine Palembang cultural elements such as songket motifs, the Ampera Bridge icon, and the Palembang language with a modern look. This strategy is effective in expanding the market and plays a role in preserving and introducing Palembang culture to the wider community
