Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the use of social media as a tool for individual communication on environmental loyalty around Polrestabes RT 18 Jakabaring, Palembang. The method used is a quantitative approach through the distribution of questionnaires to 30 respondents and analyzed with the help of SPSS. The results of the bar graph indicate that the majority of respondents (86.7%) agree that social media plays a role in increasing environmental awareness. Simple linear regression analysis produces an equation Y = 11.060 + 0.714X with an R² value of 0.341, indicating a positive and significant relationship between the two variables. These findings suggest that the use of social media can be an effective means to encourage community loyalty to the surrounding environment.

Abstract

This study examines how the Suara Pangan program on Elshinta Radio Palembang represents urban farming as a modern, creative, and sustainable activity through a qualitative descriptive approach. The results show that production elements such as scripts, narratives, visuals, and editing play a significant role in shaping a positive image of urban farming as a lifestyle for independent and environmentally conscious urban communities. The program also emphasizes that food security is not solely the government's responsibility but can be initiated by individuals and communities through simple practices in urban environments, thus ensuring that media plays a significant role in fostering social and ecological awareness in the community. Penelitian ini membahas bagaimana program Suara Pangan di Radio Elshinta Palembang merepresentasikan pertanian perkotaan sebagai kegiatan modern, kreatif, dan berkelanjutan melalui pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa unsur produksi seperti naskah, narasi, visual, dan penyuntingan berperan penting dalam membentuk citra positif urban farming sebagai gaya hidup masyarakat kota yang mandiri dan peduli lingkungan. Program ini juga menegaskan bahwa ketahanan pangan tidak hanya menjadi tanggung jawab pemerintah, tetapi dapat dimulai dari individu dan komunitas melalui praktik sederhana di lingkungan perkotaan, sehingga media berperan penting dalam menumbuhkan kesadaran sosial dan ekologis masyarakat.
