Abstract

Strategi komunikasi yang tepat dari pihak Humas AHASS Modern Plaju sangat diperlukan untuk merespons keluhan pelanggan dan membangun kembali kepercayaan. General Manager AHASS Modern Plaju menyatakan bahwa kasus-kasus seperti ini cukup jarang terjadi di wilayah Sumatera Selatan, namun tetap ada produk Honda yang menunjukkan indikator kerusakan pada rangka. Penelitian ini menganalisis strategi hubungan masyarakat (Humas) yang diterapkan oleh Astra Honda Authorized Service Station (AHASS) Modern Plaju dalam menangani krisis, khususnya terkait masalah keamanan produk. Dalam teori komunikasi kualitas pelanggan Teori ini menekankan bahwa kepuasan pelanggan yang tinggi akan berkontribusi pada loyalitas pelanggan. Dalam konteks AHASS Modern Plaju, strategi komunikasi yang efektif dalam menangani komplain dapat meningkatkan kepuasan dan mendorong pelanggan untuk tetap setia pada merek Honda. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus dan analisis data. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis strategi humas AHASS Modern Plaju dalam menyikapi komplain rangka motor honda yang patah, dengan fokus utama pada upaya pemulihan citra, kepercayaan konsumen, dan penyelesaian masalah produk secara komprehensif. Penelitian ini menggali pemahaman tentang pentingnya komunikasi dua arah, transparansi, dan pengelolaan krisis yang efektif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi Humas yang fleksibel dan responsif sangat diperlukan untuk membangun dan memelihara kepercayaan publik, dan pendekatan yang hati-hati dalam menangani kasus sensitif. Penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi peran media sosial sebagai saluran komunikasi yang vital dalam mengelola persepsi publik dan merespons keluhan

Abstract

Organizational communication plays an important role in the management and decision-making of an institution, including in legislative institutions such as the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD). This study aims to analyze how organizational communication that takes place in the Palembang City DPRD Secretariat can influence the process of ratifying the Raperda. In addition, this study also aims to explore ways to improve the effectiveness of communication between parties involved in the legislative process. This study applies a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The results of the study indicate that effective communication between superiors and subordinates, between parallel sections, and between sections with different tasks plays an important role in facilitating the legislative process.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the representation of the myth of family happiness and midlife crisis in the film American Beauty (1999) using Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis. The research approach used is descriptive qualitative, with the object of study being relevant scene excerpts related to the research focus. Data was collected through documentation and analyzed using Barthes' three levels of meaning: denotation, connotation, and myth. The results of the study indicate that the myth of family happiness is represented through the image of an ideal family that appears harmonious on the surface but harbors emotional distance and internal conflict. The midlife crisis is represented through the character of Lester Burnham, who experiences boredom, loss of identity, and rebellion against the routine of life. These two issues are interrelated, where the myth of family happiness creates social pressure that triggers the midlife crisis, while the crisis exposes the illusion behind the image of the ideal family. This study concludes that American Beauty not only represents social reality but also critiques Western popular culture's construction of family happiness and the midlife phase, emphasizing that happiness is subjective and does not always align with social standards.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi komunikasi dalam meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan publik di Kelurahan 20 Ilir Dua Kota Palembang. Kerangka teori yang digunakan adalah Model Komunikasi Harold Lasswell dengan lima unsur utama: Who, Says What, In Which Channel, To Whom, dan With What Effect. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam kepada masyarakat sebagai penerima layanan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi komunikasi aparatur kelurahan telah berjalan cukup baik dalam aspek keramahan dan keterbukaan, namun masih menghadapi hambatan pada kejelasan pesan, keterbatasan pemanfaatan media informasi, serta konsistensi penyampaian prosedur pelayanan. Masyarakat berharap adanya transparansi yang lebih tinggi, penyediaan media informasi tertulis maupun digital, serta mekanisme pelayanan yang lebih efisien. Faktor pendukung utama berupa ketersediaan sarana prasarana dan komitmen aparatur, sedangkan faktor penghambat muncul pada aspek semantik, seperti kurangnya konsistensi bahasa dan ekspresi komunikasi. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa strategi komunikasi yang efektif menjadi kunci dalam meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan publik, khususnya dengan memperkuat kejelasan pesan, diversifikasi media komunikasi, dan peningkatan keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal aparatur.

Abstract

The communication style of their teachers has a significant influence on students' moral and character development in the classroom. The purpose of this study was to investigate how SMPN 1 Kikim Timur teachers foster and mold their students' morals through interpersonal communication. The study employs a qualitative methodology that includes in-depth interviews with key teacher informants, as well as observational data. The study examines the phases, tactics, and relationships between teacher-student interactions and moral growth under the framework of the Social Penetration Theory. According to research, educators employ flexible communication techniques, assuming the roles of mentor, father, and friend as needed. This strategy effectively promotes openness, trust, and the absorption of moral principles in students' daily lives. The application of the Triangle of Restitution technique supports the effectiveness of structured communication tactics in guiding students through discipline difficulties and establishing responsibility. Students' defensive barriers and closed attitudes are the biggest challenges, but they can be overcome with relational and regular communication. In conclusion, students' positive moral growth is greatly influenced by the adaptability and depth of teachers' communication.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the synergy between the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program of PT. Bukit Asam and the Public Relations (PR) unit of Bukit Asam Medika Hospital (RSBAM) in delivering public health services. The free healthcare program implemented by the company is a tangible form of social responsibility aimed at improving the quality of health among communities living around the company’s operational area. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through interviews, field observations, and documentation studies. The findings reveal that the collaboration between CSR and PR is built on strong communication, structured coordination, and shared responsibilities, which contribute to effective program delivery. The community reported significant benefits, such as easier access to health services, increased awareness about health, and improved relations with the company. From a management perspective, this synergy also supports the company’s image and builds public trust. The PR unit plays a crucial role in managing communication and internal coordination, while the CSR team ensures continuity and sustainability of the program. Together, they form a solid partnership that enables the program to run efficiently and meet community needs. This research concludes that the collaborative model between CSR and PR can serve as a best practice example for other companies aiming to carry out meaningful social initiatives in the health sector. It is recommended that this model be maintained and further developed to ensure long-term social impact and corporate accountability.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze celebrity involvement after the change in the Parliamentary Threshold of 4 percent which was first set in 2012 and implemented in the 2014 elections. Therefore, the implementation of the Parliamentary Threshold regulation actually brought controversy and criticism from various parties up to judicial review. One of the aspects that is considered controversial about the parliamentary threshold is that there are indications that it makes it difficult for political parties to contest in general elections, so that political parties are starting to recruit as many celebrities as possible, especially those placed in legislative elections. This research uses a qualitative-descriptive research approach with the library research method. Researchers collected research from 2011-2023 via Google Scholars related to celebrities or artists who participated in political contestations, especially in legislative general election contestations. From the data collection process, this research found two urgencies that had not been examined by previous research, (1) there was a change in the Parliamentary Threshold rules, resulting in political parties becoming more aggressive in involving celebrities in the Legislative Election contestation who were used as vote-getters to help vote. other political candidates. Second, political parties, in involving celebrities as legislative candidates, use the Son of the Soil strategy, namely being placed according to their respective regions, both in terms of place of birth and descent from the electoral district.
