Abstract

Learning innovations to support environmentally friendly behavior in Adiwiyata schools at the technical level are still complained of as difficult for teachers to implement. Integrated STEAM-H (science, technology, engineering, agriculture, mathematics, and health) is a learning approach that can be used by teachers to create innovative learning across subjects. This community service activity was carried out to assist sixth-grade Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Handapherang (equivalent to elementary school) teachers in designing, implementing, and assessing learning using an integrated STEAM-H approach. This mentoring method is carried out through the stages of preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The preparatory stage is carried out through focus group discussions to build learning tools and prepare tools and materials as learning media. The implementation stage is the implementation of the planning stage. Evaluation stage of the entire series of activities. Assistance produces teaching modules across subjects, namely mathematics, and science, building hydroponic project-based learning, providing meaningful learning for students that integrates agriculture, science, mathematics, technology, engineering, and health in a hydroponic vegetable cultivation project. The results of this assistance become a reference for innovative learning at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Handapherang to be further developed to support environmentally friendly behavior at Adiwiyata schools.

Abstract

ABSTRACTBased on the results of PISA, it shows that mathematics in Indonesia is still relatively low in its reasoning ability. Mathematical reasoning ability is also included in the objectives of mathematics learning. The purpose of this study is to analyze the mathematical reasoning ability of SMKN 1 Cipaku students, more precisely in the Freshwater Fisheries Agribusiness expertise in the context of catfish cultivation. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study strategy. The subjects used were 15 people who were class XI Agribusiness students at one of the SMK in Ciamis. Data collection techniques used in this study were mathematical reasoning ability test sheets, interviews and documentation. Data analysis was carried out by applying the data analysis model from Miles, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that: (1) The mathematical reasoning ability of SMK Agribusiness students in the context of catfish cultivation is quite good. Students' reasoning ability is very strong in the flexibility indicator and the ability to use mathematical concepts or rules. Indicators of novelty have been seen in some students, but not all. While the reasonableness indicator still needs to be developed further in most students (2) The solutions produced by students are still not clear and reasonable. This shows that the novelty indicator is only visible in some students and the reasonableness indicator is still relatively low or less visible in most.Keywords: mathematical reasoning ability, catfish farming, and agribusinessABSTRAKBerdasarkan hasil PISA menunjukan bahwa matematika di Indonesia masih tergolong rendah pada kemampuan penalarannya. Kemampuan penalaran matematis juga termasuk pada tujuan pembelajaran matematika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa SMKN 1 Cipaku lebih tepatnya pada keahlian Agribisnis Perikanan Air Tawar dalam konteks budidaya ikan lele. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan strategi studi kasus. Subjek yang digunakan sebanyak 15 orang yang merupakan siswa kelas XI Agribisnis di salah satu SMK di Ciamis. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini yaitu lembar tes kemampuan penalaran matematis, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menerapkan model analisis data dari Miles yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) Kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa SMK Agribisnis dalam konteks budidaya ikan lele cukup baik. Kemampuan penalaran siswa sangat kuat pada indikator fleksibilitas dan kemampuan menggunakan konsep atau aturan matematis. Indikator kebaruan sudah terlihat pada sebagian siswa, tetapi belum seluruhnya. Sedangkan indikator masuk akal masih perlu dikembangkan lebih lanjut pada sebagian besar siswa (2) Solusi yang dihasilkan siswa masih kurang jelas dan masuk akal. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa indikator kebaruan hanya terlihat pada sebagian siswa dan indikator masuk akal masih relatif rendah atau kurang terlihat pada sebagian besar.Kata Kunci: kemampuan penalaran matematis, budidaya ikan lele, dan agribisnis
