Abstract

To improve performance, the government has made various efforts for a bureaucratic reform. As a result, the state civil apparatus (ASN) or civil servants experience various changes in duties. In changing tasks, there are positive/negative perceptions regarding the new way of completing tasks. This research aimed to find out how ASNs anticipate various changes in these tasks. Changes in tasks can cause job insecurity, which is accompanied by a decrease in job satisfaction. Job insecurity is related to worries about losing valuable aspects work. Meanwhile, job satisfaction is an employee's assessment of various aspects of work. The impact of task changes on job insecurity and job satisfaction is facilitated by skills development. Skills development by ASN includes anticipation by increasing knowledge and abilities. Participants in this research were 258 government agency employees in Jakarta. Based on the test results, it was found that task changes can either increase or decrease job satisfaction. When task changes increase the individual's efforts to develop skills; job satisfaction will ultimately increase. On the other hand, if task changes trigger qualitative job insecurity, then job satisfaction will decrease; especially for individuals with prevention focus.

Abstract

A good relationship between coach and athlete is an important factor for athletes in achieving success in sports. The quality of good relationships between coaches and athletes is complex, dynamic and multidimensional based on various aspects such as communication, trust, motivation, feedback, goal setting, and satisfaction. The success of a coach-athlete relationship depends on how effectively they work together to achieve a common goal. To improve good relationships between coaches and athletes, training activities are needed to discuss, understand and apply the characteristics of the quality of good relationships. The quality of good relationships between coaches and athletes is associated with the changing situations that are often faced such as: (a) changes in rules, (b) match schedules that come suddenly, (c) changes in player positions related to the situation/conditions during the match, changes in roles. These various changes cannot be avoided. The attitude needed is not to worry about changes that continue to occur, but to always be ready to improve the skills needed in these changing situations. A sign of success in dealing with changing situations is an attitude of satisfaction with oneself, with colleagues, with the coach, and with the situation in general. Participants in this workshop activity were approximately 30 young Indonesian basketball players along with several coaches and management. It is hoped that this activity can have a positive impact in improving relationships between coaches and basketball athletes, as well as helping in developing skills and satisfaction of athletes in the 18 year age group. ABSTRAK Hubungan baik antara pelatih dan atlet (Coach-Athlete Relationship) merupakan faktor penting bagi atlet dalam mencapai kesuksesan dalam olahraga. Demikian pula dalam olahraga basket, hubungan baik antara pelatih dan atlet, sangat diperlukan. Kualitas hubungan baik antara pelatih dan atlet bersifat kompleks, dinamis, dan multidimensi. Kualitas hubungan ini didasarkan pada berbagai aspek seperti komunikasi, kepercayaan, motivasi, umpan balik, penetapan tujuan, dan kepuasan. Keberhasilan dari hubungan pelatih-atlet bergantung pada seberapa efektif mereka bekerja sama untuk mencapai tujuan bersama. Untuk meningkatkan hubungan baik antara pelatih dan atlet, dibutuhkan suatu kegiatan pelatihan untuk membahas, mendiskusikan, memahami, dan mengaplikasikan ciri-ciri kualitas hubungan baik antara pelatih dan atlet. Kualitas hubungan baik antara pelatih dan atlet dikaitkan dengan situasi perubahan yang sering kali dihadapi. Situasi perubahan yang dimaksud mencakup: (a) perubahan aturan, (b) jadwal pertanding yang datang tiba-tiba, (c) pergantian posisi pemain terkait situasi/kondisi saat pertandingan, perubahan tugas/peran. Berbagai perubahan tersebut, tidak bisa dihindari. Sikap yang diperlukan adalah, tidak khawatir terhadap perubahan yang terus terjadi, tetapi selalu siap untuk meningkatkan/mengembangkan keterampilan yang dibutuhkan pada situasi yang berubah tersebut. Tanda dari keberhasilan dalam menghadapi perubahan situasi adalah sikap puas baik terhadap diri sendiri, terhadap rekan, terhadap pelatih, dan terhadap situasi pada umumnya. Partisipan dalam kegiatan workshop ini kurang lebih 30 orang pemain basket Indonesia muda basketball beserta beberapa pelatih dan pihak manajemen. Diharapkan kegiatan ini dapat memberikan dampak yang positif dalam meningkatkan hubungan antara pelatih dan atlet basket, serta membantu dalam pengembangan keterampilan serta kepuasan para atlet kelompok umur (K.U) 18 tahun dalam berlatih dan berkompetisi
