Abstract

UD BUDI JAYA LOGAM yang berlokasi di Juwana, Kabupaten Pati, Jawa Tengah, merupakan salah satu sentra industri pengecoran aluminium yang telah berkembang pesat. Produk utama yang dihasilkan adalah burner kompor gas untuk kebutuhan ekspor, disertai berbagai produk tambahan seperti komponen kendaraan bermotor, perlengkapan rumah tangga, dan beragam kerajinan berbahan aluminium cor. Permasalahan utama yang masih dihadapi UKM ini terletak pada proses pemanasan inti cetakan berbahan resin coated yang masih menggunakan kompor gas. Proses manual tersebut menyebabkan ketidakteraturan suhu pemanasan, sehingga kekuatan inti cetakan tidak seragam dan waktu produksi menjadi lebih lama. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menerapkan dapur pemanas listrik sebagai solusi inovatif yang mampu memberikan pemanasan lebih stabil, aman, dan efisien. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi tahapan survei dan identifikasi permasalahan, penilaian kelayakan UKM sebagai mitra, serta penerapan hasil rancangan alat di lokasi produksi. Diharapkan penerapan teknologi tepat guna ini dapat meningkatkan kualitas dan efisiensi produksi inti cetakan di UKM BUDI JAYA LOGAM. Luaran kegiatan meliputi prototipe dapur pemanas listrik, publikasi ilmiah nasional, publikasi media daring, serta pendaftaran Hak Kekayaan Intelektual (HKI) sebagai bentuk keberlanjutan inovasi.

Abstract

Instrument equipment is part of the equipment installed on the tool intended to find out and get the desired data from an activity. One of the important instrument equipment in various fields is the measuring instrument. A jaral measuring instrument is basically a tool to find out how much distance or how long the distance is from an object. The need for measuring instruments used and having high accuracy encourages the creation of more measuring instruments. The purpose of this study is the development of a prototype distance measuring instrument based on Arduino uno microcontroller using ultrasonic sensor HC-SR04. This ultrasonic sensor uses the speed of sound to measure the distance with a magnitude of 340 m/s, thus knowing the time between sending the signal and receiving the signal so that the distance between the transmitter and the receiving object can be calculated. The distance measurement data will then be displayed on a 16 x 2 liquid crystal display for easy reading. This design is controlled through the Arduino Uno R3 kit based on ATMEGA 328 P which is implemented in an acrylic plastic plate as a place for the circuit. The test results from the distance measurement instrument research have a measurement error value range of 0% - 0.067%, so it can be said that the distance measuring instrument from this study has a high accuracy value.

Abstract

LP Drum (Low Pressure Drum) is a vapor reservoir from LP Evaporator (Low Pressure Evaporator) and LP Economizer (Low Pressure Economizer). The output of the LP Drum is in the form of saturated steam (steam content that has been separated from water) will be flowed into the steam turbine. There are several parameters that must be controlled, namely level, flow, pressure, and temperature on the LP Drum which affect valve performance. The parameters themselves are obtained from manufacturing, in this case MITSUBISHI as the main project. One of the valve control systems that can be used is Proportional Integral (PI). From calculations using MATLAB, the control system using the PI method obtained Kp = 0.218 and Ki = 0.028 seconds. The inaccuracy of LCV (Level Control Valve) is caused by the delay in receiving signals from DDC to LCV. These inaccuracies affect the values of LP feed water and LP steam flow change randomly and there is no definite reference value.
