Abstract

Survey results from several salted egg manufacturing businesses where in the process of cleaning eggs from the mud mixture using tools in the form of fibers or wires so that the remaining mud stuck to it can be cleaned. Craftsmen who are experienced enough can only clean around 150 eggs or around 12 kg in one hour, of course this is less efficient if the production scale of the UMKM is large. The partners for this community service activity are UMKM which are engaged in making salted eggs. one of the problems faced is in the process of washing salted eggs, which is a process that is carried out before being marketed, where the process still uses manual washing power using human power, manual washing requires less efficient time so that when there are orders, many UMKM experience problems. to fulfill orders from consumers. UMKM that operate in the egg business sector really need a touch of technology related to the salted egg washing method. With this problem, in Community Service Activities for UMKM, salted egg washing machines will be handed over to partner entrepreneurs, namely UMKM Mak Ngat, Purworejo Village, Suruh District, Semarang Regency. The impact of using a salted egg washing machine on Mak'Ngat UMKM is that the salted egg washing process is more economical, namely when done manually it can clean around 150 eggs or around 12 kg in one hour, but when done using a machine the cleaning capacity reaches 45 kg per hour and this number rose drastically.

Abstract

Semarang State Polytechnic as a tertiary institution implementing the Tri Darma of Higher Education through the 2023 Competitive Community Service program sees several problems faced by UMKM partners, where the service partner who collaborates with us is Mang Ngat UMKM, one of whose businesses is engaged in making salted eggs, where One of the problems faced is that there is no egg washing machine that replaces manual washing of salted eggs, but this problem can be resolved with the provision or donation of a salted egg washing machine in the first stage. The next problem faced by Mang Ngat UMKM service activity partners is that they require knowledge of the machine operation process according to procedures so that the operation is safer for the operator and the machine. Apart from that, Mang Ngat UMKM also need knowledge of the maintenance process for the salted egg washing machine so that the machine can last longer. long. With these problems, in the follow-up activities of Community Service to Mang Ngat UMKM after the provision or grant of egg washing machines, follow-up activities were carried out, namely by carrying out training on the operation and maintenance of salted egg washing machines at Mang Ngat UMKM in the Rasamala market, Srondol Wetan housing complex, Banyumanik sub-district, Semarang city, with After carrying out training on the operation and maintenance of salted egg washing machines, it is hoped that the salted egg washing machines can be operated safely by Mang Ngat UMKM and maintenance can be carried out properly so that the salted egg washing machines can increase their service life.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang ditemukan pada sub line wiper assy yaitu pada proses nut push press terdapat komponen tambahan berupa o-ring, setiap proses nut push press membutuhkan 4 buah o-ring. Kapasitas batang suplai o-ring yang terbatas mengakibatkan perlu adanya pengisian secara berulang pada batang suplai o-ring, pengisian o-ring ini dilakukan oleh operator feeder secara manual. Dampak dari masalah tersebut yaitu waktu penyuplaian o-ring kurang efektif, berdasarkan permasalahan yang ada maka dibutuhkan alat yang digunakan untuk menyuplai o-ring secara cepat. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengurangi waktu proses penyuplaian o-ring dengan membuat rancang bangun autofeeder part o-ring dengan sistem penggerak pneumatik. Metode penelitian meliputi identifikasi masalah, studi pustaka, perancangan, pembuatan dengan pemilihan komponen dan pengerjaan alat, serta pengujian. Hasil dari autofeeder part o-ring yakni mempermudah dan mempercepat proses penyuplaian o-ring. Menurunkan cycle time penyuplaian o-ring dari 83,9 detik menjadi 38,6 detik atau berkurang 53,9% dan waktu proses pengisian o-ring dapat dikurangi dari 31,8 detik menjadi 17,7 detik

Abstract

The partners for this community service activity are UMKM which are engaged in goat slaughtering. One of the problems faced is that the process of removing goat skin is still manual, that is, it still uses human labor, where using human power for the goat skinning process requires less efficient time. Therefore, these UMKM really need a touch of technology related to the goat skin removal method to overcome the problems of UMKM engaged in the business of slaughtering goats and selling goat meat. Therefore, in community service activities, goat skin pulling machines will be handed over to partner entrepreneurs, namely MSMEs. Mak Ngat at the Rasmala market in the Srondol Wetan housing complex, Banyumanik sub-district, Semarang city. Impact After using a goat skin pulling machine for Mak'Ngat UMKM, the goat skinning process is more economical, namely when done manually it can skin 12 goats in one hour, but when done using a machine, 12 goats can be done in 15 minutes and this number has increased drastically

Abstract

UD BUDI JAYA LOGAM yang berlokasi di Juwana, Kabupaten Pati, Jawa Tengah, merupakan salah satu sentra industri pengecoran aluminium yang telah berkembang pesat. Produk utama yang dihasilkan adalah burner kompor gas untuk kebutuhan ekspor, disertai berbagai produk tambahan seperti komponen kendaraan bermotor, perlengkapan rumah tangga, dan beragam kerajinan berbahan aluminium cor. Permasalahan utama yang masih dihadapi UKM ini terletak pada proses pemanasan inti cetakan berbahan resin coated yang masih menggunakan kompor gas. Proses manual tersebut menyebabkan ketidakteraturan suhu pemanasan, sehingga kekuatan inti cetakan tidak seragam dan waktu produksi menjadi lebih lama. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menerapkan dapur pemanas listrik sebagai solusi inovatif yang mampu memberikan pemanasan lebih stabil, aman, dan efisien. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi tahapan survei dan identifikasi permasalahan, penilaian kelayakan UKM sebagai mitra, serta penerapan hasil rancangan alat di lokasi produksi. Diharapkan penerapan teknologi tepat guna ini dapat meningkatkan kualitas dan efisiensi produksi inti cetakan di UKM BUDI JAYA LOGAM. Luaran kegiatan meliputi prototipe dapur pemanas listrik, publikasi ilmiah nasional, publikasi media daring, serta pendaftaran Hak Kekayaan Intelektual (HKI) sebagai bentuk keberlanjutan inovasi.

Abstract

Subsektor hortikultura dalam pembangunan nasional memiliki peranan yang strategis dan cukup penting. Salah satu daerah penghasil pertanian subsector hortikultura terbesar di Jawa Tengah ialah Kabupaten Wonosobo dengan komoditas utama berupa carica. Carica (Carica Pubescenc) atau disebut dengan pepaya gunung. Saat ini proses pengolahan carica khususnya pada proses pengupasan dilakukan menggunakan sistem konvensional dengan menggunakan pisau dapur yangmana 100% mengandalkan kecepatan tangan pekerja dalam pengupasan. Hal tersebut menyebabkan produktivitas pengupasan carica belum mencapai target. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah merancang dan mengkaji secara eksperimental mesin pengupas carica yang dilengkapi dengan system otomasi. Metode penelitian meliputi: (i) Identifikasi kebutuhan konsumen, (ii) Menentukan spesifikasi mesin dan sistem otomasi, (iii) Desain mesin dan pemasangan sistem otomasi dan (iv) Pengujian kinerja mesin. Hasil penelitian berupa mesin pengupas carica dengan dimensi 502 x 503 x 1202 (mm) dengan tenaga penggerak berupa motor listrik DC yang dilengkapi dengan sensor limit switch memiliki kinerja yang baik dan mampu digunakan untuk mengupas carica dengan ukuran maksimum panjang buah 110 mm. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa otomatisasi proses pengupasan buah dengan menggunakan mesin pengupas carica mampu menurunkan cycle time proses pengupasan carica sebesar 54% (75 detik/buah menjadi 34 detik/buah) dan mampu meningkatkan kapasitas produksi sebesar 105 buah/jam dan peningkatan kapasitas produksi sebesar 118,75% (48 buah/jam menjadi 105 buah/jam).

Abstract

This study was conducted at a manufacturing company located in Indonesia that produces Alternating Current Generator Starters (ACGS). In the ACGS production process, there is a solder inspection stage that was previously performed manually by operators. The main issue encountered is incomplete production cycles, a condition where a production cycle is not fully completed, but the product continues to the next stage, increasing the risk of undetected defective or rejected products. Research aims to design a camera check system that integrates the Poka-Yoke method to enhance accuracy and prevent errors caused by human factors based on continuous improvement through the Plan, Do, Check, Action (PDCA) cycle. This study compares two camera inspection programs: program model 1, with individual position calibration per solder point, and program model 2, with a shared calibration setup, to evaluate inspection effectiveness. The quantitative comparative testing results show a detection accuracy of up to 99.92% and an inspection result classification accuracy reached 99.73%, indicating a significant improvement in the reliability of the visual inspection system and quality assurance for soldering results in industry.
