Abstract

The high maternal mortality rate (MMR) and infant mortality rate (IMR) are the main drivers for the implementation of the Childbirth Planning and Complication Prevention Program (P4K). The P4K program plays an essential role in helping pregnant women prepare for labor and detect potential complications. The success of this program is highly dependent on the knowledge and attitude of pregnant women towards childbirth planning and the complication prevention program itself. The purpose of this study was to determine the Education of childbirth planning programs and prevention of complications on the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women. The research design used was a quasi-experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research was conducted at the Praktik Mandiri Bidan of Parangargo Village, Wagir District, Malang Regency in April 2024. The subjects of this study were all pregnant women who underwent antenatal care examination, a many of 30 people, with a purposive sampling technique. Data collection was done by distributing questionnaires to pregnant women. The intervention was provided in the form of a childbirth planning and complication prevention program to measure the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women before and after the intervention. Analysis of research data using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that there was an effect of providing the P4K program on increasing the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women through the P4K program.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Diabetes Mellitus Tipe 2 makin banyak menyerang remaja akibat pola makan tidak sehat dan kurang aktivitas fisik. Kasus terus meningkat, termasuk di Malang hingga usia belasan tahun. Remaja Karang Taruna RW 14 masih minim pengetahuan tentang pencegahan DM. Edukasi, posyandu remaja, serta terapi RIMA dan teh jahe merah bisa menjadi solusi sederhana dan efektif. Pemberdayaan Remaja dalam Pencegahan Diabetes Mellitus Tipe 2 melalui Pendekatan Holistik: Integrasi RIMA Therapy dan Teh Jahe Merah (Zingiber officinale var.rubrum. Metode yang dilakukan yaitu penyuluhan dan demonstrasi. Peserta pengabdian masyarakat adalah karang taruna RT 01 RW 14 Dusun Krajan Desa Pakisjajar Kecamatan Pakis Kabupaten Malang Jawa Timur. Alat ukur menggunakan kuesioner pengetahuan Diabetes Mellitus dan Lembar Observasi. 1) Pretest pengetahuan Diabetes Mellitus Tipe 2 pada remaja Karang Taruna RT 01 RW 14 Dusun Krajan Desa Pakisjajar Kecamatan Pakis Kabupaten Malang Jawa Timur didapatkan sebagian besar memiliki pengetahuan kurang sebanyak 7 remaja (46,67%). 2) Setelah diberikan edukasi tentang Diabetes Mellitus Tipe 2 pada remaja, sebagian besar memiliki pengetahuan baik sebanyak 11 remaja (73,33%). 3) Evaluasi demonstrasi RIMA (Relaxation Autogenic, Movement and Affirmation), tidak dilakukan pretest. Pada posttest, tidak ada peserta yang dinilai kurang (0%), 3 remaja dinilai cukup (20%), dan 12 remaja dinilai baik (80%). 4) Evaluasi demonstrasi Pembuatan Teh Jahe Merah, tidak dilakukan pretest. Pada posttest, tidak ada peserta yang dinilai kurang (0%), 1 remaja dinilai cukup (6,67%), dan 14 remaja dinilai baik (93,37%). Kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat berjudul “Pemberdayaan Remaja dalam Pencegahan Diabetes Mellitus Tipe 2 melalui Pendekatan Holistik: Integrasi RIMA Therapy dan Teh Jahe Merah” berjalan lancar sesuai rencana, dengan keberhasilan didukung partisipasi aktif peserta. Hal ini terbukti dari peningkatan signifikan hasil pretest dan posttest serta kemampuan redemonstrasi peserta, sehingga dapat disimpulkan kegiatan mencapai hasil yang baik. Kata Kunci: Diabetes Mellitus, Remaja, RIMA, Teh Jahe Merah   ABSTRACT Type 2 diabetes mellitus is increasingly affecting adolescents due to unhealthy diets and lack of physical activity. Cases continue to rise, including in Malang, even among teenagers. Youth from Karang Taruna (Youth Organization) RW 14 still have limited knowledge about diabetes prevention. Education, youth health posts (Posyandu), and RIMA therapy and red ginger tea could be simple and effective solutions. Empowering Adolescents in Preventing Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus through a Holistic Approach: Integration of RIMA Therapy and Red Ginger Tea (Zingiber officinale var.rubrum. The methods used were counseling and demonstrations. The community service participants were youth from RT 01 RW 14, Krajan Hamlet, Pakisjajar Village, Pakis District, Malang Regency, East Java. The measurement tools used were a Diabetes Mellitus knowledge questionnaire and an observation sheet. 1) Pretest of knowledge of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in adolescents of Karang Taruna RT 01 RW 14 Dusun Krajan Desa Pakisjajar Kecamatan Pakis Kabupaten Malang East Java found that most of them had poor knowledge as many as 7 adolescents (46.67%). 2) After being given education about Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in adolescents, most of them had good knowledge as many as 11 adolescents (73.33%). 3) Evaluation of the RIMA (Relaxation Autogenic, Movement and Affirmation) demonstration, no pretest was conducted. In the posttest, no participants were assessed as lacking (0%), 3 adolescents were assessed as sufficient (20%), and 12 adolescents were assessed as good (80%). 4) Evaluation of the Red Ginger Tea Making demonstration, no pretest was conducted. In the posttest, no participants were assessed as lacking (0%), 1 adolescent was assessed as sufficient (6.67%), and 14 adolescents were assessed as good (93.37%). The Community Service activity titled "Empowering Adolescents in Preventing Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus through a Holistic Approach: Integrating RIMA Therapy and Red Ginger Tea" went smoothly as planned, with the success supported by the active participation of participants. This was evident from the significant improvement in pre- and post-test results as well as the participants' redemonstration abilities, thus concluding that the activity achieved good results. Keywords: Diabetes Mellitus, Adolescents, RIMA, Red Ginger Tea
