<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the suboptimal competence of the principal in implementing school-based management (SBM), which has an impact on the less than optimal success of the implementation of SBM in educational units. This study aims to determine the effect of the principal's competence on the successful implementation of school-based management at SMP Negeri 1 Hiliduho in the 2024/2025 academic year. The type of research used is quantitative with a correlational survey method. The population in this study were all 30 teachers, and all of them were used as research samples (saturated samples). The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Hypothesis testing used the t test and simple linear regression. Based on the results of the t test, t count = 7.667 was greater than t table = 2.045, with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, so Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected, which means there was a significant influence between the principal's competence on the successful implementation of school-based management. The results of the regression analysis indicate that principal competence contributed 52% to the success of SBM implementation, while the remaining 48% was influenced by other factors not examined. Thus, it can be concluded that principal competence influences the success of school-based management implementation at SMP Negeri 1 Hiliduho. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh belum optimalnya kompetensi kepala sekolah dalam melaksanakan Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah (MBS), yang berdampak pada belum maksimalnya keberhasilan pelaksanaan MBS di satuan pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi kepala sekolah terhadap pelaksanaan keberhasilan manajemen berbasis sekolah di SMP Negeri 1 Hiliduho pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025.Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode survei korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru yang berjumlah 30 orang, dan seluruhnya dijadikan sampel penelitian (sampel jenuh). Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji t dan regresi linier sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil uji t diperoleh t hitung = 7,667 lebih besar dari t tabel = 2,045, dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, maka Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak, yang berarti terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara kompetensi kepala sekolah terhadap keberhasilan pelaksanaan manajemen berbasis sekolah. Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi kepala sekolah memberikan kontribusi sebesar 52% terhadap keberhasilan pelaksanaan MBS, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 48% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kompetensi kepala sekolah berpengaruh terhadap keberhasilan pelaksanaan manajemen berbasis sekolah di SMP Negeri 1 Hiliduho.]]>
