Abstract

Islamic boarding schools, as educational institutions oriented to the needs of the community, need to adapt to social changes due to the development of the times and technology. This research aims to explore scientific development, institutional transformation, learning innovation, and transformation results in Nurul Haramaian NW Narmada Islamic Boarding School and Thohir Yasin Lendang Nangka Islamic Boarding School. A qualitative approach with field research methods was used to compare the two pesantren that seek to make social change through transformative education. The results of the study show that the development of science in the two pesantren includes a comprehensive methodology that is internalized in religious and general subjects, as well as extracurricular activities in Nurul Haramaian. The institutional transformation includes establishing formal and non-formal institutions and changes in education and curriculum management. Learning innovation involves the use of information technology and the development of learning methods that are by the character of the pesantren. From the results of the transformation, graduates of the two Islamic boarding schools showed comprehensive knowledge, skills, and good morals and had a positive impact on society, especially in economic and social aspects. This research emphasizes the importance of scientific development, institutional transformation, and educational innovation to maintain the existence of Islamic boarding schools as transformative institutions that contribute to social change.

Abstract

Powerful Nation is a nation that has identity and then internalized to all kind of society activities for collective progress. A lot of phenomenon happen as a consequence of globalization at this moment that has influence almost all live edge include threaten the existence of nation culture. Culture acculturation process that very fast and strict caused losing Indonesian nation culture that actually should have been maintained by us as an ideology all at once as the nation identity. And then it is effected in personality, habit, and productivity phase Indonesian people that disposed in negative thing and left out so far if compared with the other countries. So, it will be important to build back education based on culture, start from formal institution like school until non formal institution that is environment of society, it is an urgent step to strengthen back national culture in live modernization. Bangsa yang kuat adalah bangsa yang memiliki identitas kemudian terinternalisasi ke semua bentuk aktivitas masyarakatnya demi kemajuan bersama. Banyaknya fenomena yang terjadi akibat globalisasi dewasa ini telah mempengaruhi hampir seluruh lini kehidupan sehingga tanpa disadari mengancam eksistensi kebudayaan bangsa. Proses akulturasi budaya yang sangat cepat tanpa filter yang tepat menyebabkan kian memudarnya kebudayaan bangsa Indonesia yang semestinya dipertahankan sebagai wujud jati diri bangsa. Hal itu kemudian berdampak pada kepribadian, kebiasaan dan tingkat produktivitas masyarakat Indonesia yang cenderung negatif serta jauh tertinggal jika dibandingkan dengan negara-negara lain. Untuk itulah, membangun kembali pendidikan berbasis kebudayaan mulai dari lembaga formal seperti sekolah sampai pada ranah non formal yaitu lingkungan sosial masyarakat merupakan langkah urgen untuk memperkuat kembali kebudayaan nasional di tengah modernitas kehidupan.

Abstract

The emerge of unlimited, transparency, globally type of new media creates a lot of dynamics. It plays important role in the socialization process of political well as being a government media that accumuleate some aspiration and provide the peoples. In addition, the unlimited media has been used several group carry out political hegemony that bringout conflict among sympathizer. With the result that obscure the purpuse of politic to achieve global public goodness. So that, moral re-formulation in politics are required an alternative way to cultivate the right of moral education. One of them is the revolutionary concept of Kohlberg about the importance of moral universal in the character. Islam have also universal ethics which is the subject matter as its mission as a religion of mercy for the universe. Ethics is in line with the universal values of humanity, equality, justice and human rights. And then eventually, the formation of inclusive characters will affects moral in politics. Munculnya jenis media baru yang tidak terbatas, transparan, global dan bebas menimbulkan banyak dinamika. Ia berperan penting dalam proses sosialisasi politik sekaligus menjadi media pemerintah dalam mengumpulkan aspirasi dan layanan bagi masyarakat. Selain itu ketidakterbatasan media tersebut telah digunakan kelompok lain dalam melakukan hegemoni politik yang pada akhirnya memunculkan konflik pada kalangan simpatisannya sehingga mengaburkan tujuan berpolitik untuk meraih kebaikan bersama. Untuk itu perumusaan kembali moral berpolitik memerlukan jalan alternatif dalam membudayakan pendidikan moral yang tepat. Salah satunya ialah dengan konsep revolusioner Kohlberg tentang pentingnya moral universal dalam karakter. Dalam islam terdapat nilai etika universal yang menjadi pokok ajaran sebagaimana misinya bahwa agama pembawa rahmat bagi alam semesta. Etika itu bersesuaian dengan nilaiĀ­nilai universal kemanusiaan, kesetaraan, keadilan dan hak asasi manusia. Pada akhirnya terbentuknya karakter inklusif tersebut akan mempengaruhi moral dalam berpolitik.
