Abstract

The importance of legal protection for trademarks in Indonesia is reflected in the preventive measures regulated by Law Number 20 of 2016 concerning Marks and Geographical Indications. This study analyzes the implementation of preventive legal protection with a focus on trademark registration. Normative analysis methods and literature study approaches are used to examine the roles and constraints in implementing this preventive measure. In Indonesia's trademark protection context, a preventive legal approach plays an important role in preventing trademark rights infringement. With reference to Law Number 20 of 2016 concerning Marks and Geographical Indications, preventive efforts in the form of registering a mark at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (HAM) as well as the obligation of trademark holders to fulfill formal and substantive requirements form the basis for providing exclusive protection for brands. Through registration, brand holders obtain legal certainty that secures their exclusive rights. Furthermore, the practical implementation of this preventive protection also requires improving the quality of human resources in related institutions, as well as mastery of foreign languages and the application of technology to minimize opportunities for trademark rights violations.

Abstract

The Kapuhunan tradition is a tradition of sharing food and sincerely accepting the gifts of others, which includes moral messages and virtues from a positive psychology perspective. This study aims to explore and describe the Banjar people's understanding of the kapuhunan tradition, identify and analyze the virtues contained in the kapuhunan tradition, and explain how these virtues are implemented in the lives of the Banjar people. Using a phenomenological qualitative approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews with several Banjar students from southern Kalimantan living in jogja dormitory with a sample size of 3-5 participants and observations. The results showed that the kapuhunan tradition contains virtues such as kindness, respect for others, and social solidarity, which are reflected in the practice of sharing food and receiving gifts from others. This research contributes to the development of positive psychology that is more sensitive to the Indonesian cultural context, and serves as a foundation for the preservation and revitalization of positive values in Banjar culture. As such, it provides new insights into the potential of virtue values in the local traditions of Indonesian society.

Abstract

Self-regulated learning is a critical competency for supporting students’ academic success, yet its development remains limited by outdated, inflexible teaching approaches. Meanwhile, the potential of artificial intelligence in education continues to grow, but empirical evidence regarding its effectiveness in enhancing self-regulated learning among secondary school students in Indonesia remains limited. This study aims to test the effectiveness of using an artificial intelligence application in enhancing students’ self-regulated learning. The research method employed a quantitative approach using an experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group, involving 64 students divided into experimental and control groups via cluster random sampling. Data were collected using a self-regulated learning scale that had been validated for validity and reliability, then analyzed using an ANCOVA test with JAMOVI software. The results indicate that the experimental group demonstrated a significant increase in self-regulated learning compared to the control group (p < 0.05). These findings confirm that the use of artificial intelligence applications is highly effective in enhancing self-regulated learning among secondary school students and provide practical implications for technology-based development within school.
