Abstract

The reason for conducting this research is the problems faced by grade II elementary school students, namely students are less skilled in writing using cursive letters, because there has not been application of special learning media to practice cursive writing and lack of guidance from teachers in practicing writing using cursive letters. This research aims to improve students cursive writing skills through the utilization of LKPD to write upright with friends together. This research applies the research and development method with the ADDIE model. The data collection techniques used include validation from media and material experts, as well as tests. Instruments used in data collection this research is in the form of a media and material expert validation questionnaire, as well as a cursive writing skills test. And the results of this study were calculated using data analysis techniques in the form of media and material feasibility analysis, as well as the N-Gain test. The results showed that the media used obtained an assessment from the media expert of 93%, while the assessment from the material expert 97%, and the final result of validation is 95% with the criteria "very feasible". The results of cursive writing skills students cursive writing skills have increased after using the LKPD to write upright with friends along with the average pre-test score of 69.09 and the average post-test score of 90.00. It can be concluded from the findings of this study that the worksheet (LKPD) for writing upright cursive letters with friends together successfully improved students cursive writing skills, with results that are classified in the high category.

Abstract

Alasan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah adanya permasalahan yang dihadapi siswa kelas II SD, yakni siswa kurang terampil dalam menulis dengan menggunakan huruf kursif, karena belum adanya penerapan media pembelajaran khusus untuk berlatih menulis kursif serta kurangnya bimbingan dari guru dalam berlatih menulis menggunakan huruf kursif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis kursif siswa melalui pemanfaatan LKPD menulis tegak bersambung bersama kawan seiring. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode penelitian dan pengembangan dengan model ADDIE. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi validasi dari ahli media dan materi, serta tes. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data penelitian ini berupa angket validasi ahli media dan materi, serta tes keterampilan menulis kursif. Dan hasil dari penelitian ini dihitung dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data berupa analisis kelayakan media dan materi, serta uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media yang digunakan memperoleh penilaian dari ahli media yaitu 93%, sedangkan penilaian dari ahli materi yaitu 97%, serta hasil akhir validasi yaitu 95% dengan kriteria “sangat layak”. Hasil keterampilan menulis kursif siswa mengalami peningkatan setelah menggunakan LKPD menulis tegak bersambung bersama kawan seiring dengan rata-rata nilai pre-test 69.09 dan rata-rata nilai post-test 90.00. Dapat disimpulkan dari hasil temuan pada penelitian ini bahwa LKPD menulis tegak bersambung bersama kawan seiring berhasil dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis kursif siswa, dengan hasil yang tergolong dalam kategori tinggi.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low nationalism values of third-grade elementary school students, which are shown through dishonest behavior, lack of respect for teachers and friends, and lack of responsibility for school tasks and rules. This study aims to describe the values of nationalism which include aspects of honesty, respect, and responsibility through the use of Character Pillar Poster media in third-grade students of SDN Terik Krian Sidoarjo. The study used a descriptive quantitative approach with 19 third-grade students as research subjects. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation and Likert scale questionnaires compiled based on nationalism value indicators. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics in the form of score calculations and percentages to determine the achievement category of each aspect. The results of the study show that the use of Character Pillar Poster media is able to help instill nationalism values in students. Aspects of honesty, respect, and responsibility are in the good to very good category. Based on the analysis of the three aspects of nationalism values, the results show figures of 88.15% for honesty, 89.21% for mutual respect, and 87.76% for responsibility. All three aspects fall into the "very good" category.Character Pillar Poster media functions as a visual reminder that helps students understand and apply positive behavior in everyday life in the school environment. Thus, Character Pillar Poster media can be used as an alternative learning media for Pancasila Education to support character building and strengthening nationalism values in elementary school students.
