Abstract

The research objectives were to find out what the Islamic Educational Values are in the teachings of Tariqah Syekh Abdul Wahab Rokan, To find out the implementation process of Islamic educational values on the behavior of the people of Besilam Babussalam Village Padang Tualang Langkat and to find out the Impact of Community Behavior on the teachings of Tarekat Syekh Abdul Wahab Rokan. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The source of the research data is the people of Besilam Babussalam Langkat Village. The results of the research found that the teachings of the Naqsbandiyyah Tariqat provide good results on people's behavior because these teachings contain Islamic educational values including: Knowledge of Monotheism, Fiqh, Sufism (Spiritual) Cultural, Social and Religious Heritage, so that the values of Islamic Education can be implemented by carrying out what has been ordered and leaving the prohibitions, in Tauhid (a strong community of belief in Allah), through Fiqh the community always practices the obligations that have been determined, in Sufism and Spirituality the community gets a clean heart which has an impact on good attitudes such as (Tawadhu, patience, sincere, wara' and asceticism). Maintaining or preserving the Tomb of Sheikh Abdul Wahab Rokan which is visited by many people from outside the region so that it can increase the ties of friendship among Muslims. Maintain good communication relations with visitors outside the area through the Haul. Still maintaining personality, a society that maintains practices in Islam

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam proses internalisasi nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam dalam praktik zakat serta relevansinya terhadap peningkatan kesejahteraan dan penguatan ekonomi umat. Zakat sebagai salah satu rukun Islam memiliki dimensi multidimensional yang tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai kewajiban ritual, tetapi juga sebagai instrumen pendidikan moral dan sosial-ekonomi. Melalui praktik zakat, nilai-nilai fundamental seperti keikhlasan, keadilan, solidaritas, dan tanggung jawab sosial diinternalisasi dalam kesadaran individu dan terekspresikan dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif melalui metode studi kepustakaan dengan menganalisis literatur klasik dan kontemporer yang relevan mengenai pendidikan Islam dan ekonomi syariah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa internalisasi nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam dalam zakat terjadi melalui mekanisme pembiasaan spiritual, keteladanan sosial, serta pemberdayaan ekonomi berbasis keumatan. Zakat terbukti berperan sebagai media transformasi sosial yang efektif dalam menumbuhkan kesadaran kolektif, memperkecil kesenjangan ekonomi, dan memperkuat struktur solidaritas sosial umat. Dengan demikian, zakat tidak hanya merepresentasikan ketaatan ritual, tetapi juga menjadi manifestasi praksis pendidikan Islam yang berorientasi pada pembentukan insan berkarakter, berkeadilan, dan berdaya secara ekonomi serta spiritual.

Abstract

Ta’limul Muta’allim by Shaykh Al-Zarnuji is one of the classical works of Islamic education that presents principles of learning rooted in spirituality, ethics, and practical wisdom. Amid the transformation of modern education characterized by digitalization and evolving learning methods, it is important to revisit the relevance of these classical concepts in shaping meaningful and character-based learning. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using library research and comparative analysis methods. Data were collected through a literature review of Ta’limul Muta’allim and various contemporary educational sources. The analysis was conducted systematically through content analysis and source triangulation techniques to identify the relevance of classical principles to the challenges of modern education. The findings indicate that the key concepts in Ta’limul Muta’allim, such as sincere intention, time discipline, consistency, the teacher’s role as a spiritual guide, as well as the methods of practice and discussion, remain highly relevant in addressing current educational challenges. These principles align with active learning approaches, character-based education, and values-oriented pedagogy. The values embedded in Ta’limul Muta’allim strengthen the spiritual, ethical, and reflective dimensions of learning, thereby fostering learners who are not only intellectually competent but also virtuous and capable of facing contemporary challenges with wisdom.
