Abstract

The aim of this research is to prove the validity and practicality of the electronics modules that use KviSoft Flip Book Maker. The study was conducted at the 9th Luwu North State High School with a 4D model: (1) Phase Definition, (2) Design Phase, (3) Phase Development, and (4) Phase Distribution. After the development of electronic modules using 4D models, the next step is validity and practicality. Specifically, (1) the results of the validation of the electronic product module from the material expert show 100% presentation and belong to a very valid category; (2) the verification results from the media expert show 68% and are belonging to a good or valid Category; and (3) the validity results from a linguist show 82% and come from the category ve (4) In the electronic practicality test of the elevation module, the student's answers are based on calculations of the IF formula using Microsoft Excel. For example, the material aspect receives 3,06 with a good or valid category, the media aspect receivers 3,05 with a well or valid Category, the language aspect receiving 4, 58 with a very good or very valid Category; the illustration aspect receves 2,52 with a valid Category or Aspect, and the instruction unit receives 2,52 of a valid category or Aspects. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the electronic learning module of the Islamic educational material uses valid social media and can be used as a learning medium in practice.

Abstract

Abstract

Unmanaged waste can generate significant environmental impacts, including contributing to global warming. Therefore, effective waste management is essential to reduce waste accumulation at Final Disposal Sites. In the context of household waste, the active participation of the community in waste management is a crucial decision. Through the Climate Village Program initiated by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, RW 8 Lesanpuro has implemented community-based waste management. The implementation of the Climate Village in Malang City is an important effort to encourage community behavioral changes toward more sustainable environmental management, especially in waste management. This study aims to identify the factors influencing community participation along with their probability values. This study employed in-depth interviews as the data collection method, using a random sampling technique, and the data were subsequently analyzed using binary logistic regression. The novelty of this study lies in the analysis of factor influencing community participation at micro scale in the Climate Village area, which has received limited attention in previous studies. The results indicate that motivation and perception are the primary factors influencing community participation. Participation is estimated to reach 95.89% if both factors are present within the community group. Furthermore, this study offers valuable insights for improving the participation of RW 8 residents in waste management as a form of environmental sustainability. Moreover, the findings of this study may serve as a reference for optimizing community participation in waste management on a larger scale, such us at the city level.

Abstract

This study was conducted in response to the increasingly critical issue of climate change driven by global warming and the rising concentration of greenhouse gases, particularly methane (CH₄), in the atmosphere. The waste sector is recognized as one of the major contributors to methane emissions, especially through the anaerobic decomposition of organic waste in landfills. To address this issue, the Indonesian Ministry of Environment and Forestry established the Climate Village Program (ProKlim) as a community-based climate change mitigation initiative. However, studies quantifying greenhouse gas emission reductions resulting from waste management activities in ProKlim areas remain limited. Therefore, this research aims to estimate the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions generated through waste management practices in ProKlim RW 07, Lesanpuro Village. Waste volume and composition sampling were conducted using purposive sampling techniques based on SNI 19-3964-1995 guidelines. Greenhouse gas emissions were calculated using the 2006 IPCC Guidelines with the First Order Decay (FOD) Tier 2 method. The results indicate that the total waste generation in RW 07 reached 563.174 kg/day, with a waste generation rate of 0.38 kg/person/day. Following the implementation of ProKlim, 73.7 kg/day of waste was successfully managed, while 489.5 kg/day remained unmanaged. Waste management activities in ProKlim RW 07 contributed to a reduction of methane emissions from landfills by approximately 0.19 tons CH₄/year.
