Abstract

This study focuses on the development of student worksheets (LKPD) based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) for Islamic Religious Education and Character Development subjects at SMPN 3 Palopo. Using the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation), this research aims to create learning materials that enhance students' critical thinking skills. Initial observations revealed that conventional teaching methods and materials were failing to engage students effectively, resulting in decreased learning motivation. The developed HOTS-based worksheets were validated by subject matter experts, media specialists, and language experts, achieving an average validation score of 90%, indicating high validity. During implementation with eighth-grade students, the worksheets demonstrated a practicality score of 87%. Academic performance improved significantly, with average test scores increasing from 65.3 on pre-tests to 85.7 on post-tests, representing a 31.3% improvement. Student feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with 93% reporting that the worksheets enhanced their understanding of the material, particularly when working on analysis and evaluation-based problems. The integration of religious values with critical thinking skills allowed students to not only understand religious concepts but also analyze their application in daily life. Despite these promising results, the study acknowledges limitations, including the restricted sample size from a single school and the relatively short research duration, which limits observation of long-term impacts. This research contributes significantly to the development of HOTS-based teaching materials in Islamic Religious Education and provides a model that can be adapted for other subjects to support higher-quality educational outcomes aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum's competency-based learning approach.

Abstract

Students' creativity skills in schools have not yet been developed properly because the learning used is still conventional, The assignments given to students are in the cognitive domain. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the PjBL model on student creativity through the creation of scrapbook media on the material of the body's defense system. Method: This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Tukdana with a sample of 20 students in class XI MIPA 4. This type of quantitative research uses the Pre-Experimental Design used the type is One Shoot Case Study. The instrument used is an assessment of student product creativity and student response questionnaire. Results: Students' creativity in making scrapbook media products has an average value of 74.53% with a fairly creative category.  Meanwhile, students' creativity in making scrapbook media products has an average value of 83.28% in the good category. Data in the experimental class from the assessment of student product creativity is normally distributed, obtained t-count=1.82 and ttable=1.73 because tcount>ttable, then Ho has rejected. Conclusion: the Pjbl model is effective in student creativity through the creation of scrapbook media on the material of the body's defense system at SMAN 1 Tukdana.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to prove the validity and practicality of the electronics modules that use KviSoft Flip Book Maker. The study was conducted at the 9th Luwu North State High School with a 4D model: (1) Phase Definition, (2) Design Phase, (3) Phase Development, and (4) Phase Distribution.After the development of electronic modules using 4D models, the next step is validity and practicality. Specifically, (1) the results of the validation of the electronic product module from the material expert show 100% presentation and belong to a very valid category; (2) the verification results from the media expert show 68% and are belonging to a good or valid Category; and (3) the validity results from a linguist show 82% and come from the category ve (4) In the electronic practicality test of the elevation module, the student's answers are based on calculations of the IF formula using Microsoft Excel. For example, the material aspect receives 3,06 with a good or valid category, the media aspect receivers 3,05 with a well or valid Category, the language aspect receiving 4, 58 with a very good or very valid Category; the illustration aspect receves 2,52 with a valid Category or Aspect, and the instruction unit receives 2,52 of a valid category or Aspects. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the electronic learning module of the Islamic educational material uses valid social media and can be used as a learning medium in practice.
