Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference in understanding mathematical concepts between classes taught with the MURDER learning model (Mood, Understanding, Recall, Digest, Expend, and Review) assisted by Ice Breaking and conventional learning in class XI students of SMK Negeri 1 Seputih Surabaya. This type of research is Quasy Experimental Design using a 2×3 factorial research design. The samples used were students of class XI Accounting 1 and XI Accounting 2 SMK Negeri 1 Seputih Surabaya. This study also uses Cluster Random Sampling as a sampling technique, as well as for data collection, namely through tests. The data analysis technique was carried out quantitatively by using the Two Way ANOVA Test (Two-Way Variance Analysis). Through the calculation of the hypothesis, the results obtained that the p-Value value of the Ice Breaking-assisted MURDER learning model = 0.000 less than = 0.05 so that the p-Value , it can be said that there is an effect of using the Ice Breaking-Assisted MURDER learning model on the ability to understand students' mathematical concept .

Abstract

Lemons are plant horticulture fruits which kind of oranges are also known as designation citrus. The fruit shaped as a round oval, colored yellow bright, and tasteful sour or a little sweet. Other roles of insects in nature besides insect potential herbivores (phytophagous) pests, that is, as predators and parasitoids. The study aims to identify types and diversity of enemy potential natural (predators and parasitoids). as controller pests on lemon plants. The study carried out on land lemons in Namo Terasi village, Sei Bingai District, Langkat Regency. Identification insects was done in Laboratory Pests, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sumatera Utara which held on month, March until June 2023. This study uses a purposive sampling method with 5 types, such as yellow sticky trap, red trap, black trap, blue ball trap, and net trap. Total insects identified on the lemon’s vegetation (Citrus lemon) consist of 10 Orders, 38 Families and 49 Genera, and 2308 individuals. The highest population recorded from Aphidius (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) as many as 481 individuals. The highest of Density and Relative Density from family Braconidae (D=481, RD=21.02%), whereas the lowest of Mantidae Family (D= 3, RD=0.13%). Total population were 10 types of predatory insects family, 4 types of parasitoids,16 types of herbivores and 5 types of pollinators, and 3 types of decomposers.

Abstract

The increasingly advanced development of information technology has changed the way organizations process data, manage information, and determine policies. Management Information Systems (MIS) have become a crucial element because they are able to provide complete, fast, and accurate information for decision-makers. This study aims to illustrate how the process of optimizing MIS can improve the quality of decisions in modern organizations. The study was conducted through literature analysis using a qualitative descriptive approach by reviewing the latest scientific journals and books. The results show that the effectiveness of MIS is greatly influenced by the organization's ability to integrate technology, maintain data quality, utilize advanced analytics, and improve human resource competency. MIS optimization has been proven to accelerate information flow, improve analytical accuracy, and strengthen organizational competitiveness. Overall, a well-managed MIS is an important foundation for organizations to face the challenges of the fast-paced and complex digital era.

Abstract

Purpose: this study aims to examine the influence of competence, work discipline, and motivation on the performance of employees at the Palembang City Regency Service. Methodology: The research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected from 100 employees through structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple regression analysis to determine the relationship between independent variables (competence, work discipline, motivation) and the dependent variable (employee performance). ResultsThe results indicate that competence, work discipline, and motivation significantly affect employee performance. Among these, motivation was found to have the strongest influence, followed by competence and work discipline. Findings: The study reveals that improving employee motivation, alongside enhancing competence and enforcing work discipline, can lead to better performance outcomes in the Palembang City Regency Service.  Novelty: This research provides new empirical evidence on the combined effect of competence, work discipline, and motivation specifically within the context of local government services in Palembang City, an area with limited prior research on this topic. Originality: The originality of this paper lies in its focus on public sector employees in the Palembang City Regency Service, offering practical insights for local government management to optimize employee performance. Conclusion: Competence, work discipline, and motivation are critical determinants of employee performance. Strategies aimed at developing these factors should be prioritized to improve service delivery in the Palembang City Regency Service. Type of Paper: research article.
