Learning mathematics at elementary school level is often a challenge for students, especially in understanding the concept of integers. One approach that can be used to help students is Jarimatika, which is a calculation method based on the use of fingers that can make it easier to understand mathematical concepts. This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of learning assistance using the Jarimatika method in improving students' understanding of whole number operations at SD Inpres10/73 Arallae. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and learning outcomes tests. The subjects of this research consisted of 4th grade students who had difficulty completing integer operations. The results of the research show that the application of the Jarimatics method contributes positively to increasing students' understanding and skills in completing addition and subtraction operations on integers. Apart from that, this method also plays a role in increasing students' motivation and self-confidence in learning mathematics compared to conventional approaches. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that learning assistance using the Jarimatika method is an effective strategy in learning whole number operations in elementary schools. Therefore, this method is recommended to be applied more widely to improve the quality of mathematics learning at the elementary school level.
