Sungai Surabaya memasok 96% dari kebutuhan air baku PDAM Kota Surabaya. Namun, kualitasnya dinyatakan telah mengalami pencemaran dan tidak layak dijadikan air baku PDAM. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kualitas air di Sungai Surabaya dengan metode Indeks Pencemaran, CCME-WQI dan NSF-WQI, membandingkan ketiga metode kualitas air tersebut dan mengetahui hasil pemetaan sebaran beban pencemaran kualitas air di sekitar Sungai Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Indeks Pencemaran, CCME-WQI dan NSF-WQI. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) metode Indeks Pencemaran: status mutu air pada titik hulu 100% Cemar Ringan, Titik tengah 66,67% Cemar Ringan, 33,33% Cemar Sedang. Tititk hilir dan muara 83,33% Cemar Ringan dan 16,67% Cemar Sedang; (2) CCME-WQI: status mutu air pada titik hulu 66,67% Kurang, 16,67% Cukup dan 16,67% Sangat Buruk. Titik tengah 33,33% Buruk, 16,67% Cukup Baik dan 16,67% Kurang. Titik hilir 83,33% Buruk dan 16,67% Kurang. Dan titik muara 50% Buruk, 33% Kurang, dan 16,67% Cukup; (3) NSF-WQI: status mutu air pada titik hulu, tengah, hilir, dan muara 100% buruk. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode NSF-WQI lebih sesuai untuk manajemen pengendalian pencemaran air karena metode ini memiliki hasil terburuk, sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai pertimbangan manajemen pengendalian pencemaran air. The Surabaya River supplies 96% of the raw water needs of PDAM Surabaya City. The quality is stated to have been polluted and unfit to be used as PDAM raw water. The purpose of this study was to determine the water quality in the Surabaya River using the Pollution Index, CCME-WQI and NSF-WQI methods, to compare the three water quality methods and to find out the results of mapping the distribution of water quality pollution loads around the Surabaya River. The results showed that: (1) Pollution Index method: water quality status at the upstream point was 100% Lightly Polluted, Midpoint 66.67% Lightly Polluted, 33.33% Moderately Polluted. Downstream and estuary points are 83.33% Lightly Polluted and 16.67% Moderately Polluted; (2) CCME-WQI: water quality status at the upstream point is 66.67% Poor, 16.67% Fair and 16.67% Very Poor. The midpoint is 33.33% Bad, 16.67% Fair and 16.67% Poor. The downstream point is 83.33% Bad and 16.67% Less. And the estuary point is 50% Bad, 33% Less, and 16.67% Enough; (3) NSF-WQI: water quality status at the upstream, middle, downstream and estuary points is 100% bad. so it can be used as a consideration for water pollution control management.
