Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the influence of the personal characteristics of the chief executive officer (CEO) on the performance of commercial banks in Indonesia. In addition, it also analyzes the nonlinear relationship of CEO power, CEO founder, CEO financial expertise, CEO ownership, and CEO tenure to bank performance. A balanced panel data approach has been used in this study. In particular, fixed effect estimation techniques were used to examine the relationship between CEO power, CEO founder, CEO financial expertise, CEO ownership, CEO tenure, and bank performance from 2015 to 2021. so that the total amount of data processed is 3,780 data. The writer finds that the professional qualifications of CEOs are in bank performance. In addition, the impact of the CEO's financial expertise and tenure was positive and significant on performance. And the influence of CEO power, CEO founder, and CEO ownership was seen to be negative and not crucial to bank performance. CEO tenure is beneficial for bank performance. Experienced CEO contributes to higher bank performance. The results are robust across various bank performance proxies and control variables. This study provides insight into the policy regulators and policymakers entrusted with appointing CEOs in banks in light of the ongoing regulatory reforms in Indonesia. This study is one of the early studies examining the relationship between CEO power, CEO founding, CEO financial expertise, CEO ownership, CEO tenure, and bank performance from an emerging economy perspective. It also expands on existing studies to consider both state-owned and private banks operating in Indonesia.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine the influence of organizational culture, information accounting management, innovation capability, and SME's performance in Tangerang Selatan. Additionally, it analyzes the nonlinear relationship between the variables of organizational culture, information accounting management, innovation capability, and SME's performance. The research utilizes the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method of analysis. The study period is 2023, and a total of 14,356 observation data were processed. The author found that organizational culture has an influence on information accounting management, information accounting management has an influence on SME's performance, organizational culture has an influence on SME's performance, organizational culture has an influence on innovation capabilities, information accounting management does not have an influence on innovation capabilities, and innovation capabilities have an influence on SME's performance. This study provides insights to policy regulators and policymakers, specifically the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, to enhance the performance of SMEs in Tangerang Selatan, considering the ongoing regulatory reforms in Indonesia. The study can be regarded as an advanced research that explores the relationship between organizational culture, information accounting management, innovation capability, and SME's performance as supporting factors for national economic growth. Furthermore, it expands existing studies by considering SMEs operating in Indonesia.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to measure freelance workers' perceptions of the impact of being part of the Gig Economy. This research also aims to find out the perceptions of workers, especially the millennial generation, from various types of freelance work through the Gig Economy, Top Talent Recruitment and Labour Skill Market variables from working in the gig economy sector. This research uses descriptive analysis of respondents with purposive sampling data collection techniques, namely the sample in this study was selected based on the characteristics and objectives of respondents regarding the opportunities and challenges of working freelance as part of the gig economy. Quantitative research method with the data source for this research is the primary data source obtained from distributing questionnaires directly to respondents as well as secondary data, namely from observing documents and research that supports this research. Questionnaires were distributed using a purposive sampling technique to the population of millennial generation freelance workers in the DKI Jakarta area, to determine the research object. The data collection technique used is by distributing questionnaires or questionnaires. The data statistical methods used are descriptive statistics and Partial Least Square (PLS) with the SmartPLS version 3.0 program. The results of this research are that Recruitment Top Talent influences the Labour Skill Market, the Gig Economy is estimated to influence the Labour Skill Market, and the Gig Economy influences Recruitment Top Talent.
