<![CDATA[ABSTRAK  Penelitian ini membahas penerapan strategi public speaking oleh anggota DPRD Kota Palembang dalam meningkatkan komunikasi pada proses rapat Panitia Khusus (Pansus). Di tengah meningkatnya tuntutan masyarakat terhadap transparansi dan akuntabilitas kinerja legislatif, kemampuan berbicara di depan umum menjadi aspek penting dalam menunjang efektivitas komunikasi politik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui observasi dan wawancara terhadap anggota DPRD serta masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan komunikasi dalam forum rapat Pansus sangat dipengaruhi oleh penerapan tiga elemen retorika Aristoteles, yaitu ethos, pathos, dan logos. Anggota DPRD yang mampu membangun kredibilitas, menyentuh emosi audiens, dan menyampaikan argumen secara logis, terbukti lebih efektif dalam menyampaikan laporan dan memengaruhi arah diskusi. Strategi public speaking seperti penggunaan bahasa sederhana, pelibatan audiens, serta penyampaian yang ekspresif dan terstruktur menjadi kunci dalam meningkatkan keterhubungan antara legislatif dan masyarakat. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan pelatihan komunikasi politik bagi anggota dewan guna mendukung terciptanya komunikasi publik yang lebih inklusif, persuasif, dan akuntabel.  ABSTRACT  This study discusses the application of public speaking strategies by members of the Palembang City DPRD in improving communication during the Special Committee (Pansus) meeting process. Amidst increasing public demands for transparency and accountability of legislative performance, the ability to speak in public is an important aspect in supporting the effectiveness of political communication. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach through observation and interviews with DPRD members and the public. The results of the study indicate that the success of communication in the Pansus meeting forum is greatly influenced by the application of three elements of Aristotle's rhetoric, namely ethos, pathos, and logos. DPRD members who are able to build credibility, touch the emotions of the audience, and convey arguments logically, have proven to be more effective in delivering reports and influencing the direction of the discussion. Public speaking strategies such as the use of simple language, audience involvement, and expressive and structured delivery are key to increasing the connection between the legislature and the public. This study recommends strengthening political communication training for council members to support the creation of more inclusive, persuasive, and accountable public communication.]]>
