Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis makna lagu-lagu daerah Ternate yang menggunakan bahasa Ternate. Lagu-lagu daerah Ternate memiliki variasi jenis, termasuk lagu dalam bahasa Sahu, bahasa Makiang, bahasa Tidore, dan bahasa Ternate. Namun, penelitian ini difokuskan pada lagu daerah Ternate yang menggunakan bahasa Ternate. Lirik lagu dalam berbagai genre mengandung makna, pesan, dan ajaran moral yang disampaikan kepada masyarakat melalui lirik lagu. Makna tersebut bisa berupa pesan positif atau negatif, tergantung pada penafsiran pendengar. Pendekatan hermeneutika digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk menginterpretasikan lagu-lagu daerah Ternate yang menggunakan bahasa Ternate. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik pengumpulan lirik lagu dalam bahasa Ternate dari kaset CD yang tersedia di Kota Ternate. Selain itu, wawancara dilakukan dengan beberapa informan yang memiliki pengetahuan tentang bahasa Ternate di wilayah Ternate Utara, Tengah, dan Selatan. Data penelitian terdiri dari data sekunder dan data primer. Data sekunder meliputi sumber-sumber literatur seperti buku, artikel, dan internet yang mendukung penelitian ini. Data primer melibatkan lirik lagu daerah Ternate dalam bahasa Ternate yang menjadi fokus penelitian.Kata kunci: lagu daerah, hermeneutika, Ternate

Abstract

This study examines Eka Kurniawan’s novel Cantik Itu Luka through a literary gastronomy approach, which views food as a complex symbol in the representation of culture, power, and postcolonial identity. Using a qualitative method and a hermeneutic literary approach, the research analyzes the depiction of food and eating practices in the novel to uncover their symbolic, ideological, and historical meanings. The findings reveal that local foods such as tuna and sugarcane wine serve as symbols of resistance against colonial hegemony, while colonial foods like rijsttafel, wine, and biscuits reflect the legacy of domination still imprinted in collective memory. This analysis is supported by Bourdieu’s theory of habitus, Foucault’s concept of biopolitics, and Bhabha’s ideas of hybridity and colonial ambivalence. The study affirms that food in literary texts is not merely a narrative detail, but a crucial element for understanding power relations, historical trauma, and identity formation within the context of contemporary Indonesian literature.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the process and effectiveness of introducing the hijaiyah letters using the intensive participatory method for children aged 7–10 years. The intensive participatory method emphasizes active student involvement through reading, writing, educational games, and two-way interaction between teachers and students. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation at the AHE reading tutoring institution. The results showed that the intensive participatory method was able to improve children's understanding of the shape, sound, and pronunciation of the hijaiyah letters more effectively than conventional learning. Children appeared more enthusiastic, actively asked questions, and were able to recognize letters with a higher level of accuracy. Furthermore, direct involvement in participatory activities strengthened children's memory and increased their confidence in reading the hijaiyah letters. This study concludes that the intensive participatory method can be an effective alternative learning strategy for introducing the hijaiyah letters to elementary school-aged children.
