Abstract

ABSTRACT The quality of education in elementary schools is greatly influenced by the performance of teachers as the main implementers of the learning process. Therefore, evaluating teacher performance is a crucial step to ensure the improvement of education quality, including at SD Negeri 31/1 Pelayangan Napal Sisik. This study aims to evaluate teacher performance in improving the quality of education at public elementary school 31/1 Pelayangan Napal Sisik. This research is an evaluative study using a descriptive qualitative approach and a case study design. The subjects of the study are teachers, the principal, and students of SD Negeri 31/1 Pelayangan Napal Sisik. Participants in this study were selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through interviews. The findings revealed that teachers at SD Negeri 31/1 Pelayangan Napal Sisik strive to improve their performance by evaluating all activities carried out during the previous week and planning for the upcoming week. These evaluations are documented in reports, which are then discussed in meetings to ensure the smooth implementation of all work programs. Overall, the teachers’ performance in managing lesson planning administration was not hindered, as most of them met the evaluation criteria and used the results as a reference in their teaching process.  ABSTRAK Mutu pendidikan di sekolah dasar sangat dipengaruhi oleh kinerja guru sebagai pelaksana utama proses pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, evaluasi terhadap kinerja guru menjadi langkah penting untuk memastikan peningkatan kualitas pendidikan, termasuk di SD Negeri 31/1 Pelayangan Napal Sisik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja guru dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di sekolah dasar negeri 31/1 Pelayangan Napal Sisik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian evaluatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dan menggunakan jenis studi kasus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru, kepala sekolah, dan siswa SD Negeri 31/1 Pelayangan Napal Sisik. Peserta dalam penelitian ini ditentukan menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa guru-guru di SD Negeri 31/1 Pelayangan Napal Sisik berupaya meningkatkan kinerja mereka dengan melakukan evaluasi terhadap seluruh aktivitas yang telah dilaksanakan dalam satu minggu sebelumnya dan merancang kegiatan untuk minggu berikutnya. Evaluasi tersebut dituangkan dalam laporan yang kemudian dibahas bersama dalam rapat guna memastikan kelancaran pelaksanaan seluruh program kerja. Secara umum, kinerja guru dalam mengelola administrasi perencanaan pembelajaran dinilai tidak mengalami hambatan, karena mayoritas guru telah memenuhi kriteria evaluasi dan menggunakan hasil evaluasi tersebut sebagai acuan dalam proses mengajar.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the principal's strategy in marketing SMP Islam Al Azhar 57 Jambi through the implementation of the 7P marketing mix (Product, Price, Place, Promotion, People, Process, Physical Evidence). The primary issue addressed is the school's less strategic location far from the city center, which nevertheless managed to significantly increase student enrollment from 10 students (2022) to 30 students (2024). The methodology employed is a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results indicate that the principal successfully overcame geographical barriers through systematic strategies. In the product aspect, the school relies on flagship programs such as Tahsin Tamyiz and academic achievements. The price strategy involves adjusting rates to the local market and digitalizing payments. Although the location is on the outskirts, it is converted into an advantage of a quiet and conducive learning environment. Promotion is carried out extensively through social media (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube) and interactive events like "Albifest." The people aspect emphasizes the role of teachers as school ambassadors, while the process is managed through bi-weekly evaluations and strategic collaborations (MoU) with institutions such as UIN and UNJA. Finally, physical evidence in the form of building facilities meeting Al Azhar's national standards serves as a key visual attraction. Overall, the integrated implementation of the 7P marketing mix has successfully built a positive brand image and public trust while enhancing the institution's competitiveness.
