<![CDATA[This study was motivated by the persistence of student violations of school regulations at SMP Negeri 2 Siberut Barat Daya, Mentawai Islands Regency, including arriving late, failing to wear complete school uniforms, neglecting classroom cleaning duties, having hairstyles that did not comply with school rules, and using inappropriate language. The study aimed to analyze the school's control over students' disciplinary violations. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed using Walter Reckless's Social Control Theory as the theoretical framework. The study involved 23 informants consisting of the principal, vice principal for student affairs, teachers, student council administrators, students, and parents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that the school's control efforts in minimizing disciplinary violations were implemented through four main strategies: (1) monitoring and recording students' violations; (2) applying consistent educational sanctions; (3) establishing cooperation between the school and parents in supervising students' behavior; and (4) providing character development through routine school guidance activities. The study also found that students who frequently violated school regulations generally had low self-control, while strengthening external control through supervision, guidance, and collaboration with parents effectively reduced disciplinary violations in the school environment.]]>
