Abstract

This study explores the rise of campus-based Sharia activism and its influence on legal consciousness and youth mobilization within Muslim communities, particularly in Southeast Asia. Amid increasing religiosity among Muslim students, campus organizations such as Lembaga Dakwah Kampus (LDK) have played pivotal roles in shaping Islamic legal understanding through peer-based intellectualism, digital engagement, and gender-inclusive discourse. Despite growing activism, empirical research remains limited, prompting this study to adopt a library research methodology. Drawing from academic sources published over the past five years, the study employs qualitative content analysis to identify key patterns and themes related to youth engagement with Sharia law. The findings reveal that student activism fosters a dynamic legal consciousness that blends traditional jurisprudence with contemporary concerns such as human rights, gender equity, and digital ethics. Peer-led discussions, digital platforms, and inclusive legal education emerge as crucial tools in this transformation. Youth activists are not passive recipients of religious authority but active agents who reinterpret Sharia in light of lived realities.

Abstract

This paper explores the strategic integration of cybersecurity into enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks to enhance digital resilience in modern organizations. Drawing on a qualitative library research method, the study synthesizes literature, models, and case analyses to identify best practices and governance structures that align technical cybersecurity measures with broader organizational goals. The research reveals that treating cybersecurity as an isolated IT function weakens risk visibility and incident response, while embedding it within ERM enables proactive identification, prioritization, and mitigation of cyber risks. The study highlights challenges such as the communication gap between IT teams and senior leadership, lack of standardized cyber-risk metrics, and siloed governance structures. It proposes cross-disciplinary collaboration, integrated risk frameworks (e.g., ISO 31000, NIST), and metrics-driven decision-making as essential components of effective cybersecurity governance. Although conceptual in nature, the findings emphasize the urgent need for cohesive, strategic, and metric-informed approaches to managing cyber threats. Future research should prioritize empirical validation, industry-specific adaptations, and development of standardized cyber-risk indicators to support evidence-based investment and board-level accountability in cybersecurity governance.

Abstract

This community service program was carried out to enhance the physical, emotional, and spiritual resilience of students (santri) at Pesantren Assyifa through integrated self-defense training. Recognizing the increasing psychological and social challenges faced by adolescents in pesantren, this program combined martial arts education with Islamic character development. Over the course of eight weeks, 36 santri participated in bi-weekly training sessions that included basic self-defense techniques, leadership drills, and reflective discussions on prophetic values such as patience (ṣabr), courage, and self-control. The program successfully improved student discipline, confidence, and peer cooperation, as measured through pre- and post-assessments and observational rubrics. Participants reported greater self-awareness and felt more empowered to respond to threats both physically and ethically. The pesantren administration expressed strong interest in continuing the initiative as part of the formal extracurricular curriculum. This activity not only strengthened the personal capabilities of santri but also aligned with the broader goal of fostering holistic Islamic education that nurtures the body, mind, and soul. The combination of physical practice and moral reflection proved to be a sustainable and transformative approach to santri empowerment.

Abstract

Character education is a crucial aspect of student development, especially in Islamic boarding schools, known as pesantren, where both academic and moral education are emphasized. This study investigates the integration of character education at Al-Syifa Islamic Boarding Schools, aiming to understand the theoretical and practical frameworks used in these institutions. The primary objective of this research is to analyze how character education is integrated into the educational framework of Al-Syifa Islamic Boarding Schools. The study aims to uncover the strategies, principles, and effectiveness of character education programs through an extensive review of existing literature and documented practices. This research employs a literature review approach, systematically examining academic articles, books, official school documents, and previous studies related to character education in Islamic boarding schools. By synthesizing findings from these sources, the study provides a comprehensive overview of the methods and outcomes of character education integration at Al-Syifa. The literature review reveals that Al-Syifa Islamic Boarding Schools employ a multifaceted approach to character education, integrating it through both curricular and extracurricular activities. The curriculum includes dedicated character education subjects, while extracurricular activities reinforce these values through real-life applications and community involvement. The review also highlights several key principles, such as the emphasis on Islamic values, community living, and moral exemplarity. The integration of these principles has shown positive outcomes, including enhanced student behavior, improved academic performance, and stronger community ties. Challenges noted include the need for continuous professional development for teachers and the alignment of character education goals with academic objectives

Abstract

The rapid expansion of educational technology (EdTech) startups has revealed a critical need for strategic innovation management models tailored to the unique demands of education. Existing innovation frameworks, largely developed for general business environments, often neglect pedagogical principles and the complexity of curriculum alignment. This study emphasizes the urgent need to develop a comprehensive model that integrates design thinking, curriculum theory, stakeholder co-creation, and responsible innovation. Such a framework aims to help EdTech startups create adaptable, scalable, and pedagogically sound solutions that address diverse learner needs and institutional contexts. By bridging the gap between business innovation and educational effectiveness, this research contributes valuable insights toward sustainable EdTech development and improved educational outcomes.
