Abstract

This study explores the implementation of parental guidance in fostering Islamic-based moral education for early childhood in Joho Village, Pace District, Nganjuk Regency. The program emphasizes the active involvement of parents in collaboration with educators to instill core Islamic values such as honesty, empathy, and responsibility in young children. Using a qualitative approach, the research highlights the importance of synergistic relationships between families, schools, and the community known as the "Tripusat Pendidikan" (Three Centers of Education) to create a supportive environment for character development. The findings demonstrate that practical methods, including storytelling, habituation, and exemplary behavior, are effective in shaping children's moral character. The study also identifies key supporting factors, such as high parental motivation and community support, as well as challenges like varying educational backgrounds and time constraints among parents. Overall, the program successfully enhances parents' confidence and skills in moral education, and the collaborative approach ensures the sustainability of Islamic character formation in early childhood.

Abstract

The era of disruption, which is marked by rapid technological developments, changes in social values, and global information flows, creates complex challenges for the formation of students' character. In this context, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers are required not only as teachers, but also as living exemplary models (uswatun hasanah). Integration of the perspectives of Psychology and Islamic Education is needed to analyze this strategic role comprehensively. This research aims to analyze the role, challenges and strategies of Islamic Education Teachers as exemplary models in an era of disruption through a literature synthesis from the perspective of Psychology and Islamic Education. Research findings show that: (1) The concept of uswatun hasanah in Islamic Education is in line with social learning theory in Psychology, where individuals learn through observation and imitation; (2) The PAI teacher's role includes being a role model in morals, wise use of technology (digital ethics), and mental resilience; (3) The main challenges include moral degradation, competition with the influence of digital media, and teacher workload; (4) Effective strategies include strengthening digital-pedagogical competence, building positive personal branding on social media, and collaborating with parents. The role of PAI teachers as uswatun hasanah in the era of disruption is becoming increasingly critical and complex. An integrative approach between Islamic values and psychological principles can strengthen teacher effectiveness in shaping the character of students. Increasing teacher competency and systemic support from educational institutions is very necessary.

Abstract

The global environmental crisis demands a solution approach from various perspectives, including religion. Islam, with its comprehensive teachings (Eco-Islam), offers environmental conservation values and ethics. The integration of these values into the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Curriculum has strategic potential to form environmentally friendly awareness and behavior from an early age. This research aims to review and synthesize literature findings regarding the Eco-Islam based environmental education integration model in the PAI curriculum, as well as analyze the implications of this integration. The literature review identified several effective integration models, such as: (1) Thematic integration into material on Aqidah, Akhlak, Fiqh, and Islamic Cultural History; (2) Environmentally based project approach; and (3) Development of special modules. The results of the study also show that this integration has positive implications for increasing ecological awareness, changing student behavior, and strengthening characters who are responsible for nature. The integration of Environmental Education (Eco-Islam) into the PAI curriculum is not only relevant but also urgent. This approach has the potential to create a generation of Muslims who are not only spiritually religious but also responsive to environmental issues. Commitment is needed from curriculum developers, educators and policy makers to realize systematic and sustainable integration.
