Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by interactive animated media on students’ learning outcomes in the IPAS subject for Grade V at SD Swasta in the Academic Year 2024/2025. This research uses a quantitative approach with a one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of this study were all 25 students in Grade V. The instruments used included tests and questionnaires. The test was given in the form of a pre-test and post-test consisting of 20 questions to measure the improvement in learning outcomes before and after the implementation of the learning model. The pre-test results showed an average score of 58, with only 8 students (32%) reaching the Minimum Learning Mastery Criteria (KKTP). After implementing the Problem Based Learning model assisted by interactive animated media, the post-test average increased to 80, with 20 students (80%) achieving mastery. The normality test showed that the data were normally distributed. The correlation test produced an r-value of 0.919 ≥ r-table 0.396, indicating a very strong relationship. The t-test showed t-count = 28,243 ≥ t-table = 2.069, thus Ha is accepted. The results of the study prove that the Problem Based Learning model assisted by interactive animated media has a significant and effective influence on improving students’ learning outcomes. This model is able to create an active and enjoyable learning atmosphere that directly engages students in understanding the topic of simple fractions.
