Abstract

Reciting the Qur'an with proper tahsin and in accordance with the correct makharijul huruf is a fardhu kifayah obligation for Muslims. This skill is essential to ensure that Qur'anic recitation adheres to the established rules of tajweed. However, at TPQ Desa Sumber Kerep, Kecamatan Mantup, Kabupaten Lamongan, several fundamental issues have been identified regarding the ability of teachers and students to articulate the letters of the Qur'an correctly. Common errors include mispronunciation of letters that do not align with their proper makhraj (place of articulation), thus affecting the accuracy of Qur'anic recitation. The Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach offers an alternative method for empowering communities by utilizing the assets possessed by the community. In this context, assets refer to the potential or strengths within the community, including individual capabilities (such as intelligence, empathy, and collaboration) as well as available natural resources. By optimizing these potentials, empowerment programs can be designed to enhance Qur'anic recitation skills. The implementation of ABCD-based programs has proven effective in improving the quality of Qur'anic recitation for both teachers and students at TPQ Desa Sumber Kerep. This program provides a strong foundation for sustainable Qur'anic learning. To ensure continuity and further improvement in the proficiency of makharijul huruf, it is recommended to conduct regular training sessions accompanied by periodic evaluations to achieve optimal results.

Abstract

Bullying among children remains a persistent social issue within family and educational environments, with significant impacts on children’s psychological development. This community service program aims to enhance the legal awareness of women’s religious study groups  in preventing bullying among children through family-based legal literacy. The method used is a qualitative descriptive approach with a community-based participatory strategy, implemented through legal education, interactive discussions, and case studies within the religious study forum. The results indicate an improvement in participants’ understanding of the concept of bullying, its forms, and its impacts on children. Furthermore, there was a noticeable shift in attitudes, from perceiving bullying as mere childhood misbehavior to recognizing it as a serious issue that must be prevented early through family involvement. Participants also showed increased engagement during the activities, reflected in active discussions and reflections on parenting experiences. This program concludes that religious study groups can serve as an effective medium for strengthening family legal literacy, particularly in efforts to prevent bullying among children through the active role of mothers as primary agents within the family environment.

Abstract

Low levels of legal awareness remain a challenge in fostering orderly and just social life, including among participants of Islamic study groups (majelis taklim). This community service program aims to strengthen the legal awareness of congregants through majelis taklim by involving legal academics in delivering community-based legal education at Masjid Sunan Giri Waru Sidoarjo. The method applied is a qualitative descriptive approach with a participatory strategy, implemented through legal counseling, interactive discussions, and case studies relevant to the participants’ everyday social experiences. The activities were conducted in a dialogical manner to enable participants to understand legal concepts in a more contextual and applicable way.The results show an improvement in participants’ understanding of basic legal awareness, particularly in relation to family and social issues. Participants also demonstrated a shift toward a more critical and preventive attitude regarding legal problems in their surrounding environment. In addition, active participation during discussions indicates that majelis taklim serves as an effective community-based platform for legal education. This program concludes that collaboration between legal academics and majelis taklim can serve as an effective model for strengthening community legal awareness through a humanistic, contextual, and religious-value-based approach.

Abstract

The settlement of labor disputes in Indonesia continues to be dominated by formal, procedural, and adversarial mechanisms. Although various dispute resolution avenues are available ranging from bipartite negotiations and mediation to litigation these mechanisms have not effectively produced substantively fair outcomes nor sustained industrial relations. This limitation reveals a structural weakness in the existing legal framework, which prioritizes procedural certainty over relational justice. This study aims to examine the normative construction of labor dispute resolution within the Indonesian legal system, assess the conceptual relevance of restorative justice in industrial relations, and formulate a reconstructed dispute resolution model grounded in restorative principles. The research employs a normative legal method using statute and conceptual approaches. The findings indicate a normative gap in accommodating restorative justice within the current legal framework, particularly under Law Number 2 of 2004 on Industrial Relations Dispute Settlement. Conceptually, restorative justice aligns with the continuous and interdependent nature of employment relations by emphasizing dialogue, participation, and relational recovery. This study concludes that the existing system fails to accommodate restorative values, thereby necessitating a reconstruction of legal norms. It recommends integrating restorative principles into dispute resolution mechanisms, strengthening mediator roles, and promoting a paradigm shift toward dialogical and participatory justice.
