Abstract

The Ngantak Bakul tradition in Lampung Sai Batin communities is an important aspect of the marriage ceremony that is rich in social and cultural values. This study aims to reveal the social values contained in the Ngantak Bakul tradition and understand the impact of modernization on its preservation. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, data is collected through interviews and literature studies, which are then analyzed to describe the currentsituation. The results show that Ngantak Bakul contains social values such as helping and reciprocity, which reflect the value of solidarity and trust between community members. However, modernization and financial limitations have caused a shift in the younger generation, which potentially threatens the understanding and preservation of theNgantak Bakul tradition. This research emphasizes the importance ofpreserving the Ngantak Bakul tradition as a means of maintainingcultural identity, and increasing social solidarity in the community. Italso shows that traditions are not just rituals, but also serve tostrengthen universal human values. Tradisi Ngantak Bakul di masyarakat Lampung Sai Batin merupakan aspek penting dalam upacara perkawinan yang kaya akan nilai sosial dan budaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap nila-nilaisosial yang terkandung dalam tradisi Ngantak Bakul dan memahami dampak modernisasi terhadap pelestariannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan studi kepustakaan, yang kemudian dianalisisuntuk mendeskripsikan keadaan saat ini. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan bahwa Ngantak Bakul mengandung nilai sosial seperti tolong-menolong dan timbal balik, yang mencerminkan nilai solidaritas dan kepercayaan antaranggota masyarakat. Namun, modernisasi dan keterbatasan finansial menyebabakan pergeseran generasi muda, yang berpotensi mengancam pemahamandan pelestarian tradisi Ngantak Bakul. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya melestarikan tradisi Ngantak Bakul sebagai sarana untuk menjaga identitas budaya, dan meningkatkan solidaritas sosial di masyarakat. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa tradisi bukan hanya sekedar ritual saja, tetapi juga berfungsi untuk memperkuat nilai-nilai kemanusiaan yang universal.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of mathematical communication ability of junior high school students in online learning. The research method used is descriptive quantitative using a mathematical communication ability test instrument. Indicators of mathematical communication ability that must be achieved are 1) Converting real objects, pictures, and diagrams into mathematical ideas; 2) Expressing mathematical ideas through oral, written, and visually described; 3) Analyzing and evaluating mathematical ideas both orally and in writing; 4) Modeling mathematical situations or problems using language terms or mathematical symbols, and their structures; 5) Explaining answers to problems systematically. The subjects of this study were seventh-grade students of SMP N 1 Seputih Raman. The result of this research is the level of students' mathematical communication skills in online learning is in a low category. Students with a high level of mathematical communication ability (3.64%) are able to meet the five indicators of mathematical communication skills. Students with a moderate level of mathematical communication ability (15.94%) were not able to fulfill the first and second indicators. Students with low mathematical communication ability (80.43%) cannot fulfill the five indicators.
