Abstract

Abstract: The research aims to describe the students’ creative thinking process of tenth grade of MIA of SMAN 6 Surakarta in solving mathematics problems towards students who have high, medium and low ability in mathematics. The researcher choosed qualitative research in case study design. The results showed that 1). Students’ creative thinking process in the tenth grade of MIA of SMAN 6 Surakarta with high ability in Mathematics are (a) Preparation, the students identify the prior knowledge about the assignment carefully than the students select the information in solving the problem appropriately; (b) Incubation, the students turn silent when they are thinking about how to solve the problem, the students memorize the way to solve the problem; (c) Illumination, the students continue the first idea which is found before; (d) Verification, the students recheck the problem solving before taking the conclusion, the students test the result by suiting to the data from the assignment. 2) The students’ creative thinking process in the tenth grade of MIA of SMAN 6 Surakarta with medium ability in Mathematics are (a) preparation, the students identify well the problem which is being asked select the information appropriately but they need some stimulus from another person; (b) Incubation, the students turn silent when they are thinking about how to solve the problem, the students memorized the way to solve the problem; (c) Illumination, the students only focus on the relevant information and could not explore the idea to find out the idea, here students also need the stimulus from another person; (d) verification, the students recheck the result before taking conclusion; 3) the students’ creative thinking process in the tenth grade of MIA of SMAN 6 Surakarta with low ability in Mathematics are: (a) Preparation, the students identify well the problem which is being asked, the students select the information recursively by comprehending the assignment. They also still need the stimulus in the form of question; (b) Incubation, the students memorize the appropriate pattern to solve the problem but sometimes they hesitate so they ask the problem to the researcher; (c) Illumination, the students solve the problem from what they already learnt from the previous way, the students focus on the relevant information and tent to avoid the complex information so that the student could not explore the idea to find out another idea, they tent to solve the problem with one idea; (d) Verification, the students recheck the result before taking conclusion but there are many corrections in the final answer.Keywords: Ability in Mathematics,  Creative Thinking Process, Mathematics Problem Solving.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan 1) tingkat  kecemasan guru matematika di sekolah  terhadap pembelajaran online; 2) faktor-faktor kecemasan mengajar matematika pada pembelajaran online, 3) dampak dari kecemasan mengajar matematika terhadap metode mengajar guru pada pembelajaran online. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian dilakukan pada 31 guru matematika yang mengajar pada pembelajaran online. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner Mathematics Teaching Anxiety Scale (MTAS) sebanyak 19 item. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu reduksi data, display data dan verifikasi data.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa level kecemasan mengajar matematika guru pada pembelajaran online sebanyak 7 orang (22,6%) kategori tingkat kecemasan tinggi, sebanyak 14 orang (58%) kategori tingkat kecemasan sedang dan sebanyak 6 orang (19,4%) kategori tingkat kecemasan rendah. Kecemasan mengajar matematika yang paling banyak dirasakan adalah terkait siswa yang tidak dapat berpartisipasi secara aktif dalam pelajaran matematika online serta siswa yang tidak mampu memahami materi yang disampaikan oleh guru. Tingkatan kecemasan mengajar matematika memberikan dampak berbeda terhadap metode yang dipakai guru pada pembelajaran online. Responden dengan tingkat kecemasan mengajar tinggi secara umum menggunakan media whatsapp, mengajar dengan mengirimkan video pembelajaran yang diunduh dari youtube kemudian menjelaskan materi berdasarkan video dan buku paket. Responden dengan  tingkat kecemasan mengajar matematika sedang menggunakan media pembelajaran seperti video dari youtube, membuat kuis sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran serta menyiapkan rencana pembelajaran sebelum jadwal pembelajaran berlangsung. Responden dengan  tingkat kecemasan mengajar matematika rendah menggunakan metode pemecahan masalah, metode kooperatif serta diskusi tanya jawab melalui google meet maupun google classroom.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a website-based learning media with a valid and interesting contextual approach.  The research method used is Research And Development (R&D) with a 4D development model which includes 4 stages, namely define, design, development and disseminate.  The location of this research is at MTs Ma'arif 23 Sendang Agung.  The subjects in this study were class VIII students at MTs Ma'arif 23 Sendang Agung, totaling 24 students.  The material developed is a flat sided space build material.  The results of this study indicate that the product developed based on the validation of media experts obtains a percentage of 68% with the "valid" criteria and the validation of material experts obtains a percentage of 90.5% with the criteria of "very valid".  Furthermore, the results of students' responses to the attractiveness of the developed media obtained a percentage of 83.41% with the criteria of "very interesting".  Based on these results it can be concluded that the website-based mathematics learning media with the contextual approach developed is valid and interesting so that it can be used in the learning process. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh minimnya pengembangan bahan ajar berupa LKPD berbasis pendidikan matematika realistik serta kemampuan representasi matematis siswa yang masih rendah.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan LKPD berbasis pendekatan pendidikan matematika realistik Indonesia (PMRI) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa berdasarkan kevalidan, kemenarikan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan pada materi sistem persamaan linear tiga variabel (SPLTV). Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D) dengan mengikuti tahap-tahap model pengembangan 4-D yang terdiri dari define (pendefinisian), design (perencanaan), develop (pengembangan), dan disseminate (penyebaran). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X IPA 1 SMA N 1 Batanghari sebanyak 23 peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi ahli, lembar angket respon peserta didik, lembar angket kepraktisan guru, dan instrument tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kualitas LKPD memenuhi kriteria kevalidan dengan skor rata- rata 3,55 dalam kategori “sangat valid”. Hasil respon peserta didik pada aspek kemenarikan diperoleh persentase 89,8% dengan kategori “sangat menarik”. Hasil angket kepraktisan diperoleh skor rata-rata 3,9 dengan kategori “sangat praktis”. Sedangkan hasil tes pada aspek keefektifan memenuhi kriteria “efektif” dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar sebesar 82,6% dengan kategori “sangat baik”. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKPD memenuhi kriteria valid, menarik, praktis, dan efektif sehingga dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran.Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Representasi, LKPD, Pendekatan PMRI

Abstract

Rendahnya minat belajar dan  hasil belajar siswa dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, antara lain bahan ajar yang kurang menarik, siswa sulit memahami materi, dan pembelajaran masih berpusat pada guru. Berdasarkan analisis kebutuhan siswa SMP Islam Miftahul Jannah, diperlukan bahan ajar matematika dengan pendekatan pendidikan matematika realistik berbasis nilai-nilai Islam. Tujuan penelitian  ini adalah  mengembangkan bahan ajar berupa e-modul dengan pendekatan pendidikan matematika realistik berbasis nilai-nilai keislaman pada materi sistem persamaan linier dua variabel. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D). Hasil penilaian oleh ahli matematika mendapat persentase 77,27% dengan kriteria “layak”, validasi ahli materi agama Islam mendapat persentase 87,5% dengan kriteria “sangat layak”, validasi ahli media mendapat persentase 88,69%. dengan kriteria “sangat layak”. Hasil respon siswa mendapat persentase 89,67% dengan kriteria sangat menarik, sedangkan hasil evaluasi siswa masuk kategori “baik” dengan persentase 77,78%.Kata kunci: E-modul matematika, Nilai-nilai Keislaman, Pendidikan Matematika Realistik

Abstract

The learning media used at SMP Negeri 6 Metro are textbooks the school provides. So, students are less interested in mathematics lessons. The results of previous research show that students need attractive media presentations that contain images, can be accessed via the Internet, and are based on Lampung culture. This research aims to develop an ethnomathematics-based animated video using plotagons on SPLDV material based on its feasibility and attractiveness as a learning medium. The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4D development model. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and distribution questionnaires. This research data comes from two material experts, two media experts, and two cultural experts. The subjects in this research were 25 students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 6 Metro. The research results show that animated videos are suitable for use as learning media with material expert validation of 92.71%, media 84.62%, and culture 90.63% with “very worthy” criteria, and student responses received a percentage of 91.32% with “very interesting” criteria. Based on the research results, animated videos can help with mathematics learning at school.

Abstract

The aims of this study were 1) to develop mathematical comics based on mathematical connection skills, 2) to find out student’s responses to mathematical comics based on mathematical connection abilities. This research uses research and development procedures (Research and Development) or R&D. The model used in this study is the 4-D development model which consist of four stages of development, namely the define stage, the design stage, the develop stage, and the disseminate stage. The product trial subjects in this study were 29 students of grade VIII junior high school. The result of the study showed that the developed Mathematical Comics (KOMAT) met the criteria for being used as learning media. This can be seen based on the validation result of material experts of 3,35 with very suitable criteria for use, and media expert validation of 2,95 with appropriate criteria for use. On the result of product trials on students, based on the result of the questionnaire responses of students to the attractiveness of math comic learning media (KOMAT) it was obtained an average of 3,19 with attractive criteria. So it can be concluded that the mathematics comic learning media (KOMAT) based on students’ mathematical connection abilities is feasible and interesting to use in school learning.

Abstract

Ibu memainkan peran yang sangat penting dalam perkembangan anak. Kurangnya peran ibu dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar seorang anak tentunya akan berdampak buruk bagi anak tersebut. Kasih sayang orang tua terkadang diartikan lain oleh seorang anak. Tujuan penelitian adalah mencari tahu alasan menghargai ibu dari perspektif anak. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian survey dengan metode analisis kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah remaja di SMKN 1 Metro berjumlah 90 orang siswa. Analisis data menggunakan pendekatan Indigenous Psychology, dengan koding, kategorisasi, dan frekuensi. Berdasarkan tanggapan responden tentang alasan mengapa menghargai ibu terdapat delapan jawaban yaitu: 1) ibu adalah orang yang telah mengandung, melahirkan dan merawat anak dengan ikhlas sepanjang masa (48,89%); 2) Ibu telah membimbing, mendidik dan memberikan ilmu pengetahuan (7,78%); 3) Ibu orang yang sangat berarti (15,56%); 4) Ibu adalah pahlawan/orang yang sangat berjasa bagi kehidupan (5,55%); 5) Ibu adalah tulang punggung keluarga (2,22%); 6) Menghargai ibu adalah sebuah kewajiban (10%); 7) Ibu selalu ada untuk anaknya (1,11%). Hasil penelitian ini berimplikasi pada program pemberdayaan keluarga, khususnya ibu dan calon ibu supaya dihargai oleh anak.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the types of student errors and the factors that cause students to make mistakes in solving word problems based on Watson's criteria in terms of gender. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this study were class VIII students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Sekampung Udik consisting of male students who made the most types of mistakes and could communicate well and female students who had the most types of mistakes and were able to communicate well. The results of the analysis and discussion that have been carried out show that female students make 5 types of mistakes, namely inappropriate procedures (19.56%), missing conclusions (26.08%), level response conflicts (13.04%), skills hierarchy problems (17 .39%), and other than the seven categories above (23.91%). Meanwhile, male students made 6 types of errors, namely incorrect data (18.91%), inappropriate procedures (13.51%), lost conclusions (18.91%), response level conflicts (8.10%), problems skills hierarchy (10.81%), and other than the seven categories above (29.72%).
