Abstract

This study aims to describe strategies for improving the quality of teaching and learning in Islamic boarding school-based education at SMK Darussalam Subah. The background of this research is based on the need to integrate pesantren values with the formal education system in order to achieve excellent learning outcomes. This study employed a qualitative approach with observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The findings reveal several key strategies in improving the quality of learning, including strengthening teacher competencies through regular training and coaching programs, implementing an integrated learning model that combines the national curriculum with the pesantren curriculum, cultivating a religious culture within the school environment, and optimizing the role of pesantren caretakers and teachers as role models in students’ character development. In addition, the implementation of pesantren-based school management, which emphasizes discipline, morality, and responsibility, has a positive impact on students’ learning motivation. The study concludes that the strategies applied by SMK Darussalam Subah are effective in improving the quality of teaching and learning while fostering a balance between academic, spiritual, and moral aspects of students.

Abstract

Desa Gemuh Blanten merupakan salah satu wilayah yang memiliki keberagaman agama di tengah kehidupan masyarakatnya. Kondisi sosial tersebut menuntut adanya sikap saling menghormati dan toleransi antarumat beragama agar tercipta kehidupan bermasyarakat yang harmonis. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan pola masyarakat Desa Gemuh Blanten dalam menghadapi penerimaan moderasi beragama dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Rangkaian kegiatan diawali dengan observasi lapangan, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan proses wawancara bersama kepala desa dan tokoh masyarakat, serta dokumentasi sebagai data pendukung. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat Desa Gemuh Blanten mampu menerapkan nilai-nilai moderasi beragama melalui interaksi sosial yang harmonis, sikap saling menghormati antarumat beragama, penerimaan terhadap keberadaan tempat ibadah yang berbeda, serta partisipasi lintas agama dalam berbagai kegiatan sosial dan keagamaan. Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif dalam menjaga kerukunan umat beragama di tingkat desa dan diharapkan dapat menjadi contoh penerapan moderasi beragama di wilayah lain.

Abstract

Gemuhblanten Village is an area that has religious diversity in its community life. These social conditions require mutual respect and tolerance between religious communities in order to create a harmonious social life. This community service activity aims to find out and describe the patterns of the Gemuhblanten Village community in facing the acceptance of religious moderation in everyday life. The series of activities began with field observations, then continued with an interview process with village heads and community leaders, as well as documentation as supporting data. The results of the activity show that the people of Gemuhblanten Village are able to apply the values of religious moderation through harmonious social interaction, mutual respect between religious believers, acceptance of the existence of different places of worship, as well as cross-religious participation in various social and religious activities. This activity has a positive impact in maintaining religious harmony at the village level and is hoped to become an example of implementing religious moderation in other areas.
