Abstract

Abstrak Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa SMA mengenai operasional penanganan muatan barang di pelabuhan melalui teknologi Virtual Reality (VR). Kegiatan dilaksanakan di SMA Plus Putera Melati, Jonggol, Kabupaten Bogor dengan melibatkan 20 siswa dan guru pendamping. Metode yang digunakan adalah sosialisasi, pelatihan berbasis VR, dan evaluasi melalui pre-test dan post-test. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pemahaman siswa terhadap operasional pelabuhan, khususnya dalam aspek cargodoring, stevedoring, dan receiving. Rata-rata nilai post-test meningkat dibandingkan pre-test, menunjukkan efektivitas pembelajaran berbasis VR. Antusiasme siswa sangat tinggi dengan partisipasi aktif dalam sesi simulasi dan diskusi. Dukungan positif dari pihak sekolah mengindikasikan keberlanjutan program di masa mendatang. Teknologi VR terbukti efektif sebagai media pembelajaran inovatif yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan vokasi di bidang kepelabuhanan dan logistik maritim. Abstract This community service activity aims to improve high school students' understanding of cargo handling operations at ports through Virtual Reality (VR) technology. The activity was carried out at SMA Plus Putera Melati, Jonggol, Bogor Regency, involving 20 students and accompanying teachers. The methods used were socialization, VR-based training, and evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests. The results showed a significant increase in students' understanding of port operations, particularly in the aspects of cargodoring, stevedoring, and receiving. The average post-test score increased compared to the pre-test, demonstrating the effectiveness of VR-based learning. The students were very enthusiastic and actively participated in the simulation and discussion sessions. Positive support from the school indicates the program's sustainability in the future. VR technology has proven effective as an innovative learning medium that can enhance the quality of vocational education in the fields of port operations and maritime logistics.
