Abstract

The Society 5.0 era demands the integration of digital literacy and religious character formation at the elementary school level. This study aims to analyze the role and model of integrating Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in cultivating students’ digital ethics. Using a qualitative case study method at SDN Ngablak 1 Kediri, data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings indicate that Islamic values such as trustworthiness (amanah), responsibility, and digital etiquette significantly shape students’ ethical awareness in using technology. The integration of PAI–ICT was implemented through digital project-based learning, teacher role modeling, and school–parent collaboration in monitoring students’ digital behavior. Conceptually, this synergy represents an adaptive Islamic education model that harmonizes technological advancement with moral values. The integrated PAI–ICT approach contributes to developing a digitally literate yet ethical and character-driven generation in the Society 5.0 era.

Abstract

Corn cobs are one type of agricultural waste that is abundant but has not been optimally utilized in rural areas. In Wangun Hamlet, Daliwangun Village, Sugio Subdistrict, corn cobs tend to be discarded or only used as fuel. The lack of understanding and awareness among the community is the main reason why this waste is not managed productively. The Community Service Learning (CSL) program for students at UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya addresses this issue through training on the utilization of corn cobs into environmentally friendly briquettes. This study employs the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method and descriptive qualitative methods to describe the training process, evaluate its impact on community knowledge, and assess the program's sustainability potential. The results of the activity showed an increase in residents' understanding of the value of agricultural waste and high enthusiasm for participating in briquette-making practices. Support from the village head, village stakeholders, Karang Taruna, and the mosque youth group strengthened the program's sustainability and its integration into the Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDES). These findings indicate that processing agricultural waste through an approach that actively involves various segments of the community not only impacts environmental cleanliness but also opens new opportunities for village economic empowerment. This research is expected to serve as a model for the development of alternative energy and community-based waste management in other agricultural areas with similar potential.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) learning model through the Wordwall platform in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning at SMP Negeri 35 Surabaya. The background of this study stems from the low level of student engagement in IRE learning due to the dominance of conventional methods and the suboptimal integration of technology in the learning process. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with the research subjects consisting of PAI teachers and seventh-grade students. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, documentation studies, and field notes, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The results show that the application of the TPACK model through Wordwall successfully increased student engagement and motivation to learn. Careful planning, the use of Wordwall's interactive features (such as quizzes, matching games, and random wheels), and collaborative pedagogical strategies created an active, enjoyable, and meaningful learning atmosphere. Despite challenges such as time constraints, digital infrastructure, and variations in students' technological literacy, teachers were able to overcome them through adaptive strategies such as hybrid learning, group role rotation, and collaborative reflection. This study confirms that integrating the TPACK model through Wordwall can be an innovative strategy for transforming PAI learning into interactive, contextual learning that is in line with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum.
