Abstract

This study analyzes risk management in AD Barbershop, a grooming service operating two outlets in Bandung. The research aims to identify, assess, and treat operational and occupational health and safety risks that may affect service quality and business continuity. A qualitative descriptive single–case design was applied through semi-structured interviews, direct observation, and documentation review. Risk events were organized into a risk register and evaluated using the ISO 31000 framework and a 5×5 likelihood–impact matrix. The study identified 16 risks across hygiene, operations, utilities, and ergonomics. Recommended treatments emphasize queue control, standardized procedures, improved hygiene, and backup electricity solutions..

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of ISO 31000:2018 risk management within Spark Design, a micro and small enterprise operating in the graphic design service sector. As part of the creative industry, Spark Design encounters various risks that may disrupt its operations, including device failures, software errors, lost design files, and ineffective communication with clients. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using interviews with the business owner, direct observation, and document analysis to understand the risk patterns emerging in daily activities. The findings reveal that Spark Design faces 20 primary risks, with five categorized as high, such as project delays, equipment damage, unstable income, and software crashes. Using the ISO 31000 framework, the enterprise is able to identify, analyze, evaluate, and propose mitigation strategies more systematically. Recommended measures include structured project scheduling, regular device maintenance, improved data security, clearer written communication, and service diversification to stabilize income. The overall results show that applying structured risk management strengthens operational reliability, maintains design quality, and enhances Spark Design’s competitiveness in the rapidly evolving creative industry.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of risk management at the Casual Brezzy store, a reseller of imported Adidas shoes, using the ISO 31000 approach. MSMEs engaged in selling imported products face various risks, such as exchange rate fluctuations, supply delays, uncertainty regarding import regulations, and increasingly competitive markets. The research method used was descriptive qualitative, using interviews, observation, and documentation to identify, analyze, and evaluate risks based on the ISO 31000 framework. The results indicate that very high risks include delivery delays, regulatory compliance, exchange rate fluctuations, and tax burdens. Recommended risk mitigation measures include supplier diversification, strengthening internal control systems, optimizing cash flow, and improving compliance with import regulations. By consistently implementing ISO 31000 principles, MSMEs can improve operational resilience, business stability, and business sustainability.
